I’m still gonna need you to finish so we can have a proper spoilercast and not only talk about the industry level conversation lol

The minor panic some folks are having about third party sales is so funny to me. They’re ports of mostly 2+ year old games! Who’s looking to drop $70 on an extra game when we’re already $530 deep on the system and MKW alone.

The prices on surge foil commanders is so god damn silly right now. I know someone that just pulled Y’shtola and it’s going for like $800+

Knowing how it’s pronounced is important in general discussion as “X” will sound like completely different things depending on the property and meaning.

I can only assume Ken is to blame

I think all the free dlc is gonna be Sega properties while the pay for dlc is other stuff like what we’re seeing here

I grabbed the same one, just had to have cyclonic rift and best boy Vivi casting one of the classic go to red spells

I think we’ll see better numbers for upcoming games that launch same day, it’s just tough convincing folks to pay full price for the latest port of a game that’s been out of for 2+ years. 1st party is def a priority during these opening weeks.

Right there with you buddy. Was just talking to Cam yesterday about how I’m just not grabbing multiplat games on switch 2 if it’s only available as a game key card. Sadly I think we’re in the minority on this but only time will tell if any company’s change their mind.

I’d love for more devs to reverse course and get more true physical games out, but I have no illusions about the fact that those of us that hate game key cards are a vocal minority. At the end of the day convenience wins and the greater audience will keep marching towards digital.

Yeeeeeep. It makes sense that with how much money it is up front, plenty of people are only adopting things completely unique to it (Mario Kart and upgrading Zelda). I’m sure some of these ports will see more movement over time, but people are only gonna drop so much in the first two weeks.

I saw mention in another thread that some PR companies were actively emailing him and getting replies a few days after SGF. The lack of posts though has had me worried as well

It’s rough out there rn, feels like you need to show up basically at the same time the stock does hah

Yeah, I have a couple more packs coming in on Monday and then I’m just gonna trade/hunt for singles. This set is just too dangerous for me lol

Neeeeeeed. I’ve pulled a few of the though the ages cards but this is def one I wanna grab

Every time I see CAD costs on VGP I get a brief heart attack, so I know what ya'll are dealing with hah

I think something that pushes this even farther is the uncertainty on the price staying where it is. I know more than a couple folks who bought a system now rather than later in fear of $450 turning into $500+ if they waited 4-6 months.

There's a couple I want to check out, but currently I'm using the Killswitch from dbrand and it's pretty great. (full disclosure I got mine via doing a sponsored post, but I do really like it).

I went into that appointment not really sure how I was gonna vibe with it, ended up being one my favorite things from the whole show. Absolute genius mash up of genres.

I asked the dev running the booth and I believe they said 25-30 hours

I’m sorry that one hug lingered a little too long

3. Crisol: Theater of Idols Spanish Horror FPS with a lot of inspiration from Bioshock and Resident Evil. Health is used to fuel ammo which is a sick idea to make resources even more deeply tied to literal survival. store.steampowered.com/app/1790930/...

2. Grave Seasons. I'm not normally a farm sim person but this is so damn cool. You still run a farm and have NPCs to romance, but also one NPC is a serial killer and you have one year to solve it. Lots of potential replayability and interesting scenarios. store.steampowered.com/app/3255110/...

I keep going back and forth with this. On the one hand transitioning between courses is pretty neat and seeing it as one big cohesive place, but it does feel like the way they all blend together a bit more than in 8 deluxe. Then again the new jump mechanics and wall driving is p cool.

Do what you gotta do

Pretty funny the mention was small enough that they didn't even put it on the lineup of games lol. At Fate's End was def another stand out one for me too 👀

It was an awful lot of build up for "yep this is a new COD"

Yeah, I’d love to see a Destiny 2 remaster. I think they could still sell solid if marketed, I think the bigger issue is the added work load for localization. Still, I will dream.
