Horrifying. Israel just dropped bombs on tents full of displaced civilians in Gaza. 15 tents were buried under the sand. Entire families were swallowed by the massive blast crater. They were buried alive. A massacre in plain sight.

#WIvAus Chaos in Barbados, with butterfingers in the Windies slip cordon and clueless batting by the Aussies, who gambled and lost on Konstas. The young slogger went cheaply, lbw - then Green survived three Test ducks in a row when dropped on nought. Khawaja dropped on six. Poor cricket all round.

Hmm ... 🤔 Just a thought, but the whole "We must keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of extremists" agument loses some of its power once you realise that those countries that already have nuclear weapons are increasingly being governed by extremists.

The most remarkable thing of this utterly failed prediction of Hannan is that this man - and those of similar ilk - are still sometimes published or given airtime in the UK. My take is the "always blame someone else" culture in UK leads to endless tolerance for failure.

NEW: Earlier this month, BBC's Feras Kilani & colleagues were detained at gunpoint by Israel Defense Forces in Syria. They say they were tied up, blindfolded, strip searched, interrogated, threatened. Devices taken. BBC "strongly objects to the treatment of our staff and freelancers in this way".

Look at @AP’s framing: “Israel says it will establish Jewish settlements,” without recognizing it’s ILLEGAL and it’s APARTHEID. “Legalization of outposts,” when all the settlements are ILLEGAL UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW. This is the language that normalizes decades of occupation.🤬😪
