Yeah I hadn’t landed on what I thought of that. I adore Gabriel (and Rick Hoffman for that matter) but I’m not sure I want characters I adore randomly appearing alone among characters I don’t know/care about. Plus the apparent problematic issues…eek

It really is surprising, Aaron never usually struck me that way. I wonder if he’s just trying to get a whole different vibe so that the show stands on its own? But if it’s upsetting you that much it can’t be a good vibe lol like I said, I trust your judgment so….

The question is, how realistic is this? All these people, all these locations shut down, left in who knows what kind of disarray...how do they put Humpty Dumpty back together?

We took me like a half an hour to find this, but I did :-) I’m glad to have read it in more detail.

Act like our government is being dismantled. Act like we are watching fascism in real time. Full on protests with thousands of people. Work stoppages, whatever countries that have gotten results in the past have done. We aren't the first with this threat. But we are just...watching it happen.

Murphy and Crockett are speaking, that's true. I mean Buttigieg in the sense of the next leader of the party as a whole, maybe 2028 candidate if we have elections. But we need protests that are serious and longstanding. This is INSANE and we need to act like it.

Whatever Bernie is doing is not the answer. I think we should act like our government is collapsing. I think we should stop business as usual and actually stop bringing butter knives to nuclear wars.

Sporadically, yes. I guess in my mind we are at a really dangerous point and I don't understand why we aren't in the thousands in the streets like is de rigeur in every other country it seems...I mean THOUSANDS...I feel like people don't sense the true emergency here.

I wish I didn't agree with this, but short of Buttigieg, on the national stage I'm not feeling it from much of anyone right now--at possibly the worst time to have lame leadership. It feels like we aren't fighting back at all.

It should become a regular thing.
Weekly Blackout Fridays.
As more see people willing to become uncomfortable, they will join the cause.
As our desperation mounts, so will our need to do something about it.
It's up to us to hold the oligarchs accountable.
