It's kind of telling that the same people who won't distinguish between Palestinians and Hamas have no problem separating themselves from their own government. It's a page from the MAGA playbook, and it's infuriating.

I suspect 2024 would have been a lot closer if the DNC had simply given a convention spot to a pro-Palestinian voice. Yes, the US-Israel relationship is complicated, but if you won't stand up and say "I won't send or sell weapons that will be used to murder civilians'" why are you even here?
comment in response to post
Ah yes, the famous "elect them and push them left" argument, something that hasn't ever worked at a national level. And we all know people like you will oppose us if we do. You're really bad at this, aren't you? You'll blame anyone but the caneidate, all for that sweet, righteous dopamine rush.

If Dems nominated someone at the convention who actually subscribed to Leftist ideals, I'd listen, but that hasn't happened in my lifetime (and I guarantee it hasn't happened in yours, either). So, no, you can take your misplaced anger, phony indignation and fluid morality and sit on it.

Imagine pissing on my principles while at the same time stubbornly insisting that I act in a way that adheres to your "principles." Leftists made it clear what candidates had to do to earn their vote. Neither major party listened, so here we are.

It's just another variation of "only two people can win the presidency, even though states had anywhere from 8-12 candidates on the ballot, so why didn't you all just swallow your principles and vote for the person who ignored you." It's stanning the tribal duopoly with a dumb analogy.

Dude really has no problem letting the world know he's this ignorant. What an amazing time to be alive.

Yes, you're someone we should definitely be taking seriously. There's still time to delete this before your children see this.

If your question is for Daniel, you should go on his feed and ask him. If your question is for me, then you've misread this skeet.

Gotta love how capitalism elevates and rewards the most staggeringly mediocre voices, so long as those voices can stoke outrage, regardless of the deception, obfuscation and outright lies those same voices employ.

As always, @thembo.bsky.social puts it best, but I just want to add that the central idea of this ghoul's thread is that his morals are so superficial that he will simply align with those whom he supposedly previously opposed, all because his dumb feelings are hurt. bsky.app/profile/them...

It sure seems like when you reach a level of celebrity that involves churning out mediocre history while sniveling about maintaining the status quo, you stop thinking about the very real issues people face and instead simply lie about a candidate. In other words, selfish cowardice.

Why is it that so many people who say "No DMs" in their bio are people you wouldn't really want to talk to in the first place? That account is so spastic that it hurts to try and read their feed.
comment in response to post
She answered your question. Sorry that your attempts to police Bluesky are failing miserably, but continuing to refer to a vetted account as a "scam" is gross, pathetic and shameful. I'm not gonna tell people how to spend their time, but you sure seem to enjoy wasting yours.

Last thing: I sincerely hope you've yelled at the OP about "blame" as much as you've pretended to understand anything about me. If not, I suppose that's just more evidence that you're a hypocrite. Anyway, good luck in life. We won't ever speak again.
comment in response to post
The absolute fucking irony of this skeet. So, you get preemptively mad at me for supposedly treating you like "someone I have made up in my head," but you talk to me as if youve already made up your own fantasy version of me in your head. Yeah, I'm not going to be lectured to by a hypocrite.

Like, why do you assume my comments about Harris are about changing *her* behavior? Why are you so quick to assign motives to me, instead of asking me questions? Don't show up, castigate me for "listening," and then lecture me with false facts and smug arrogance. You're not that special.
comment in response to post
We agree that it's useless to blame voters. We disagree on the utility of blaming the candidate for failing to appeal to voters. Tell me, exactly what did I do wrong? Be explicit, and include your Electoral College analysis. Can you get through one skeet without making any false assumptions?
comment in response to post
I mean, if you've got something to say, I'll listen. But you, random user I've never interacted with, showing up in a QT to minimize my opinion? Sorry, that initial response of yours isn't actually saying anything. Maybe you could not assume my motivations for posting. That's a good first step.
comment in response to post
And if we're really going to do this garbage, maybe you could first explain to the class why your "moral purity" is allowable, but the "moral purity" of others is malleable. Hint: it's because you don't have a problem dictating what others should and should not value.
comment in response to post
I'm not the one blaming voters for the multiple failures of a candidate, but please, continue being antagonistic towards people whose votes you're blindly going to demand in the future. That'll teach us! My actions will never change because of someone else's inability to transcend mediocrity.

Too late!

My state had 12 candidates on the ballot. Your inability to think outside of the duopoly, coupled with a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Electoral College works, are no one else's problems but yours. Harris lost because she didn't get enough people to vote for her, end of discussion.

Really? To me, it seems perfectly on brand for him.
comment in response to post
Holy shit, he's still going, AND he's trying to use GGS as some sort of "source?" Credit to you for calling him out, and you're right that he won't believe anything you say. Nothing can shake the worldview of an unapologetic, ignorant racist.
comment in response to post
Like, we lived through the election, goober. No one castigated her for "not saying exactly the right words." She completely avoided the issue, shut down any attempt to talk about the issue at the convention and, oh yeah, promised to continue Biden's policies there. Don't gaslight us, goober.

It's absolutely pathetic how entitled you cowardly, craven white men are, and how you feel no shame in attacking an extraordinary human being who knows more about NY politics than you could even conceive of. Why are you even here? No, don't answer. That'll just extend this conversation.
comment in response to post
It's just random racist thought after random racist thought until he runs up against logic, then it's petty six-year-old "tough guy talk," then it's crickets. You could sell this playbook, if only so many cowards weren't using it already.
comment in response to post
The only correct answer.
comment in response to post
OK, so let's add "empathy" to the list of words you can't define. Just stop embarrassing yourself like this. I'm muting you now.
comment in response to post
That dude has never met the word "empathy." Pretty sure he hears "narcissistic sociopath" at least once a week, tho.
comment in response to post
So, you can't even define the terms that you're trying to deploy, even as you claim that you definitely, positively, for sure aren't that. You've demonstrated nothing but the ability to spew racist, pro-capitalism propaganda, unsourced and highly problematic. Yeah, I'm done here.
comment in response to post
Ah, a traitor as well (if this is true, and I recognize that's a big "if").
comment in response to post
There we go. It's no longer about what was "better" for him (it was never about what was better for them). Since this chump can't defend that argument, so now he wants to talk about changing things today for other people. Pick an argument and defend it. Also, again, define "racism" for us, please.
comment in response to post
Define "racist" for the class, please.
comment in response to post
Ah yes, "the jungle," famous for never being hospitable to anyone on the planet. This is all very sad, pathetic, unsupported by history and, generally, racist as fuck.
