I have always loved this clip of Sly and the Family Stone's medley on Ed Sullivan. Simply because Ed's strait laced audience cannot resist the enthusiasm of Sly and the band. What made Sly Stone good,was not only his enthusiasm, but his energy and always thinking what was best for the greater good.

We should only use left and right as political orientations if we modify them. "Left" can mean socialism or some part of that idea (the traditional meaning). It also now is used to mean pro-choice, gay rights, bike lanes, etc., and none of those things are traditionally right or left. 1/2

If you've never actually read this book, you should. It was written over 200 years ago and it is still an excellent read. It may be the single most relevant work to illuminate the folly of big tech at the moment.
