It was a continuing resolution that was passed. The CR just continues the current budget so the govt can stay open until a final budget is passed. No cuts are approved yet. Again, it’s shitty for sure, but maybe the better choice of the two because we still have courts to slow him down.

I’m not so sure. I think he knows that it’s a lose lose but Trump and Elon want a shutdown. It gives full power to the executive branch. It ends the federal court cases being litigated against them. They will get to blame the Dems and they get to create chaos and declare an emergency.

I think it’s possible it was water, but as he brought it to his face the liquid looked orange because of his face through the glass. I hate the guy and have no doubt he was probably half drunk, but watching the video, the liquid looks clear until it gets up to his mouth.
