I can remember my parents lamenting, "oh, man, and I *just* sat down" when, like, the phone rang in the other room or something. I recently, suddenly, knew what they meant!

Now I just need to buy a hand massager so I can keep knitting after weeding.

Vanity, thy name is Jules!

Jules adjusts the lamp, the bookshelf creaks, and a small door appears where none was visible before!

The TNG episode Evolution is probably my favorite Wesley story. The exchange with Guinan kills me. When she asks, "Do you think you're gonna get a good grade." And defeatedly he's like, "I always get an A." That is a young man in *pain*. getyarn.io/yarn-clip/52...

I'll admit to being in his cult from way early days. Only fan club I've ever joined, back when I was like 13. I too find his acting choices somewhat grating, or forced. But then he has these moments of understated raw honesty that just gut me. (Much like Shatner, actually!)

Aww...I love Wesley. Especially in his lesbian Latina phase.

Hey @mets.com, we're next to do this, right?

Rainbow blob with hole? Why yes, I am.

Recycling and garbage out in the bins. (Including the diaper pail I use for cat litter.) One more chore bites the dust.

But on a positive note, the side-yard weeds I pulled the last few weekends are now bagged for municipal pickup. One chore checked off the list.

Absolutely. Foam earplugs and my pink glasses are my standard, anytime I'm indoors. (And a mask!) Every now and then a store has no music on. And people weirdly just respect it and stay silent. And it is fucking fantastic.

Yes. I once tried to illustrate it to a partner by shining my phone flashlight in his eyes and going, "hey...hey hey...HEY!" while he was talking. And he angrily yelled, "Geez! Stop it!" And I was like, yes, now you get it. This is what sunlight or a car honking can be like for me. Instant distress.

Oh hell yes. For me, the hum of motors screws with my central nervous system. Causes anxiety at low levels, clumsiness and wobbly legs at medium, and full on hyperventillating crying panic at the worst. Supermarket frozen and dairy aisles, the refrigeration hum...just a no-go most days.

Happy Saturday, good people. The low pressure system moving across the tristate has brought much appreciated cooler weather. But my high ankle sprain from 20 years ago isn't a fan. Ouch.

Yeah, the damn beggars are everywhere in San Francisco. "Please fund my unicorn!" "I just need non-dilutive capital."

Except hatchidan kiritsu. That's just illegal.

Ah, bluefaced leicester is so lovely to knit with, too. 🐑❤️

Ha! Sorry about the strobe. I didn't realize it just continued like that.

Never got used to the sightless aspect.

I *wish* I could avoid it! Nearly all of the call centers/chats I need start with AI and do not allow me to bypass it. My banking and credit card apps are littered with "helpful" AI-generated offers that I have to minimize or X out of every time. How are other people avoiding these things?

It's one of the first Star Trek books I ever read. A Christmas present just after I got hugely into TNG as an impressionable 14 year old.

Could you please talk to us like we're intelligent people? And can you respond when people ask you direct, meaningful questions here? We're not your audience, we're your CONSTITUENTS.

That is so fantastic! What amazing yarn is that?

Yumiko Alexander's patterns usually call for a crisp, light, modern linen-type yarn. In my experience, Remix has more of a cozy favorite old sweatshirt feel. Could end up lovely together, but it'd be a different type of look/feel than what's pictured, I imagine.

Exactly. I'll just hop back to 2018 to deliver on this order, no prob.

I just found a fun can of worms you'll appreciate. Finally got added to my new company's contracts email distro. Noticing that one whole sales team doesn't know what an effective date means. To wit: they just executed a new purchase order with an effective date of 5/1/2018.
