Jagmeet Singh was less of a 'disaster' than his NDP supporters were strategic voters. And they were strategic voters because there was a PP at the gate.
Let's get the situation straight in our heads - because the NDP is far from dead - and voters are ready for a return if another PP doesn't arise.

She's an American tool. You can bet that her campaigns, her financial support, her political elections.... are supported by U.S. industry and politicians. Just another Con in our midst, keeping the door open to American interests...

'Private' does good marketing when it 'wants in'.... but once 'in', it can do whatever the hell it wants to do with prices.
That has been proven so many times that it makes one shake a head when a public service is sold to private industry. See Hydro in Ontario for another glaring example.

Good thing that no one drives cars or trucks in Alberta, eh?
Or maybe these insurance rates make up for their cheaper gas?

That would be the feeling of most Canadians, I'm sure. But never underestimate the talents of the man we elected our Prime Minister.
He knows how to change dissent into common goals. He doesn't push or pull... he introduces *fortitude* to replace some attitudes in the leaders who'll be there.

He never "participates" anyway.... he likes to strut and make like a king among lesser beings. Too bad his record precedes him.
He's likely going to look like a fool amongst brighter students.

I think the other leaders just may single him out with some sort of "comeuppance" for his actions against so many countries that previously considered the U.S. 'an ally'.
This could turn out to be a "spiritual cleansing" by other attendees to rid him of evil thoughts and intentions - ðŸ¤

I suspect he's going to hear major criticism - however carefully delivered - about his administration in the United States. What may also give him a jolt are the number of countries that pledge to do trade with each other, but not with the US, due to his tariffs. He may leave feeling less 'kingly'.

The single most important body to remove the U.S. is from the UN Security Council. They've blocked every single resolution that called on Israel to stop the war on Gaza. They're not there to advance peace and stability between nations... they are there to block any actions against U.S. interests.

This guy has more balls than we surmised... He's gathering leaders from around the world... not just G7 members, but also those who are arch enemies of others in the invited group. *That* is going to take great coordination: skillful seating and tactical discussions. So proud that he's now our PM.

They're 'far apart' because each side is entrenched in its own wants, its own needs & history. What they need is an arbitrator who makes them see the world as it now is, not was. And they must be convinced that they have huge competition in the *now* climate.
Who to make that clear to all of them?

Have to disagree a bit with you here... Maybe Russian 'leaders' have not valued Russian lives, but civilians are very different in their compassion. Did you know that Russian couples, on their wedding day, visit a memorial to the war dead and place flowers as a sign of remembrance and respect?

Are the deaths of 50,000 civilians at the hands of American-financed Israel - included in that world record?

Wish it was an investment in *renewable* resources instead. But right now we have a PM who won't sell out our environment for our economy.... so I trust that both you, and he, will remember that with every investment partner you find.

Photos with Epstein at posh gatherings mean nothing. I'd like to see the details of just 'who' Trump had sex with.... both male and female - and their ages.
No bloody wonder Melania lives in another house. Took her long enough to get some distance.

No, I believe that dumb acronym was likely introduced by someone in his most radical rightwing political circles... They wanted to stir his sensitive ego to make him even 'tougher' and 'less compassionate' than he already was. 'Trump Always Chickens Out' doesn't make him more human... just meaner.

And still you see and hear Americans who voted for him.... praising him. They're likely are the ones with very high-income jobs who don't care a damn about unaffordable health care or high food prices. But those behind him - at various rallies and speeches - are *definitely* paid props. Musk's?

Trump knows he's been covered with "shit" many times before... but still managed to fool enough dim Americans into voting for him as their President. Trump will never be "terrified'; he's too brainwashed (by his father) into believing that 'bullshit baffles brains' & he uses that lesson effectively.

Without the support or backing of the 'great' United States of America. . . how many of these never-ending, innocents-killing, structural-devastating wars - would still be continuing?

I agree. He's another Netanyahu or Trump. They really believe that they are doing what their own citizens want them to do. And if those citizens don't.... well, there's always those distant prisons where opposition leaders are sent to suffer 'unspecified illnesses' before dying.

Russia was once on the side of the Allies... & made a huge difference during WWII. But Putin just cannot stand the thought of a piece of Russia finding its own path and its own government. He's a man reflective of the past... war and conquering and re-branding as Russian...it's all he understands.

I don't think 'the UN' has a military. Every time it votes to sanction Israel or Russia, the United States votes a veto and the resolution is made null and void.
How long before the UN votes to exclude the U.S. from its membership?

... Probably big money on the table between them. Gold-trimmed 747s from Saudi Arabia... Trump towers throughout Moscow?
There were far too many 'secret talks' between Putin and Trump during his (T's) last term. Whatever deal they made, we still don't know. Just like a mix of ammonia with bleach.

The Russians are very, very lucky that Zelensky targeted planes that could be used in the war.... not civilians on streets or apartment towers.... like Putin has.
One is involved in war games; the other is involved in slaughter of civilians. See Israel and Gaza for another example.

Putin is 'mad as hell and not going to take it anymore'... and Trump's promise to end the war between Ukraine & Russia 'within 24 hours of becoming President' .... means Trump's watch is broken and has been for 6 months. Someone sell him a gold Rolex.

'Dancing with the US' or dancing around Trump - doesn't mean you want to date them or get engaged. It means you know the dangers of your partner and you also know he has an expiry date. Play nice; fly low; negotiate with the saner Democrats in 3 1/2 years.

Vance is biding his time. There is no way someone like Trump can survive a 4-year term. Either the Supreme Court will hobble him, or crowds of Americans with no jobs or medical insurance will tear him apart on the streets. Lay money on one or the other.

Hamas was never the problem. The Israeli Jews have been terrorizing Palestinians for decades. Hamas was the result of those years of persecution. And the murder of 50,000 innocent civilians can never, ever be defended by the Israelis or Jews that defend them. This is a mass murder without stop.

It would probably cost taxpayers more to move him out of Stornoway and then have to move him back in if he wins the by-election and his party supports him to stay on as leader. I hope the tide rises against his return. It's his style of leadership that sank the Cons.

The agreement - along with supporting legislation passed in Spring 2024 - formally recognizes Haida Aboriginal title throughout Haida Gwaii.
The agreement is explicit: recognizing Aboriginal title will not impact anyone’s private property, local government jurisdiction, or bylaws on Haida Gwaii. 😆

I suspect our PM is about to introduce a 'competition' between members of the oil industry..... 'Bring us your plans for how you would proceed - minimizing impact on our environment'.
Wow... that would mean a competition of 'how to be most climate caring'.
