Crazy how it was supposed to be a gotcha “oh, so you are in favor of helping illegals” when you’re just like “they’re people, we should help them”. 2 completely different worlds.

Well then you’re just a fool then if that’s what you believe. I haven’t lied to you. Have a good weekend.

Progressives said no meaning “they didn’t vote for Harris and that’s why she lost”? Turnout was 65% - 1/3 of voting age adults didn’t vote, blame them.
It’s like you’re trying to take it out on me when I’ve already said I voted for Harris and every other dem presidential candidate since ‘00

I voted for him in the primaries in ‘16, I’m not his disciple

Well the Dems are no good at it, they should try a different strategy maybe.

Preaching to me about caring about human rights, when this whole useless thread started from me posting about us aiding and abetting genocide in another country. This is rich lol

I’ve voted for Dems for 25 years, try not jumping to conclusions.

Yes, I’ve done sandblasting out in the sun for the last 20 plus years. It pays slightly more than if the minimum wage had kept up with inflation. 1 sick day, 3 weeks of vacation, it ain’t cushy.

Yes, I whined about Cory Booker’s performative speech that did nothing but land him a book tour. He then voted for Trump’s nominees. These are your centrist Dems doing nothing to stop fascism.

Consider that I only voted for Bernie in the primaries in ‘16, and voted dem in every election since 2000. Quit embarrassing yourself here.
If you actually read what he said it’s that identity politics don’t win elections, and he’s right.

What are you even talking about? You sure assume a lot about me

I think the wider issue is the 1/3 of voting age adults who didn’t even vote - 1/4 of whom aren’t even registered.
When people feel their voice has no weight, that they’re powerless to change anything, that the system is inherently against them. How do we fix that?

Why do you believe that nonsense? I still have the Bernie sticker on my car, I don’t withhold my vote out of spite because the Dems are a center-right party. I accept the truth of that.
Now they’re even worse with performative crap to get book deals while voting in fascists. It’s pretty disgusting.

Yeah, I don’t get it. But they knew they were losing from their internal polling and just kept on with it.
But the party’s completely disconnected from what average people want so it kinda makes sense they lost. I lost faith in them after ‘16 but still did my civic duty over choosing fascism

What do you even mean “haven’t learned my lesson”? Sounds like you’re just trying to threaten me over stating something uncomfortable

I didn’t sit out the election. I’m making a point that seems hard for many to understand.

Yeah, what’s really so bad about helping an apartheid state commit genocide? You’d think more people would be in favor of that but I guess the polls said otherwise.

But why does it have to start out so gruesome? I really didn’t need the graphic description of a guy’s chest cavity opening up before the actual important information. Seriously, who decided that was very important to the article @theguardian.com

What are you even trying to instigate here? It’s Saturday night, go find a good time instead of being miserable on the internet.
Make a friend, build community, do something you can be proud of. Maybe even fight actual fascists?

Oh this is good. Another guy thought Y2K would render antibiotics unavailable (wtf?) so he took colloidal silver, which can make antibiotics less effective. And both of them unabashedly would just “do it all again”.

So advertising is psychological warfare, and we’re surrounded by it constantly. This ship was sunk well before known cigarette advertiser Ronald Reagan got into office.

So the position of planets in relation to massively distant stars that happen to make pictures of animals or objects in the sky due to our vantage point in the cosmos has some major bearing on what happens right here? Sounds kinda crazy
