Skirmish games are low model count and tend to be character driven, each model has its own personality. War games focus on large units and few characters. Skirmish games tend to be played on smaller boards as well, in my experience.

It’s got new and old bits in it. No dice, a pseudo tarot card system for activations. No one truly dies, they turn into ghosts. And you can tinker with your opponents turn.

I used to get it a lot too! But haven't since I found out what it was all about! (During a Daniel Kitson stand up set no less) I used to just see a silhouette of a guy pacing my room.
