The trick is who gets to decide what counts as an emergency.

Poes law strikes again. It seems more common in these ridiculous times. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s...

This! Meet so many who think ACA or gay marriage was easy and should have been done sooner. Them Dems could've just made life perfect but chose not to. It's not even close to reality.

Maybe? Try it in and scheduling hearing first to see how it goes.

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow. The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

Rumor is they have pulled people from a bunch of different agencies for these things. So there might be some FBI and former soldiers mixed in with people who applied to work for ICE.

You must be on the way up with writing skills. In a way that's more encouraging than looking back at old writing and wondering why you aren't that funny anymore.

i like the theory that he was so naturally gifted as a politician he never needed any instincts and so had no idea how to give good advice

Is this a "ruling in the next couple of days" or a "ruling in the next couple of months" kind of complaint?

Ah yes, communication, a process that famously involves just one person. Clearly if it was confusing it must be everyone else's fault for not reading well enough. xkcd.com/1984/

I dunno, I like: "they're evil, but even if they aren't evil they are also dumb" better than "they are evil, duh"

5 million people may lose their health insurance, but 15 million people may lose their primary care doctor. I feel like the numbers never accurately represent how devastating these cuts are

Can you break that down a little bit? Would making it cheaper to rehab houses with problems have a significantly different impact than building more houses?

Could you point me in the direction of where to learn more about why so many commercial landlords hold units vacant for years?

This is a bad take and an appropriate ratio.

If you don't think the original trilogy was critical of US involvement in Vietnam, you must be missing some facts about the OT or about Vietnam.

Okay, it's been more than 12 hours. What almost happened?

I mostly think it's better to be kind than to be nice. This situation might be the exception. I understand being nice, but I struggle with being kind.

Rogue one is better than the sequel trilogy because Finn would have driven into the cannon so the empire wouldn't win and to save his friends.

"I want advice and yeah his advice is dumb as hell but at least its advice" is a real thing. We can make fun of young guys for that or we can simply give them better advice. Pick up a guitar or a skateboard is great advice! And does not require coddling guys for being developmentally immature.

How much was he involved with the clone wars TV show?

I think it lasted until around 50. Still an excellent success rate.

Eh, I saw Darth maul get cut in half and fall off a cliff. I bet they can find a way to bring him back for the mandalorian season 7

Go back a couple of generations and almost every infant that goes to the NICU today would have died in childbirth and a lot of the mothers would not have survived either.
