People are ridiculous. I bought the milk bottle fan at FWA because I thought it was cute!
You know what else is shaped like a bottle and sold all over? These candies. And I have never once seen anyone get up and arms over it. People need to get off their puritanical bs and live a little.

It’s just exhausting tbh. I now have a long recovery with lots of restrictions on what I’m allowed to do. I may be a cat, but resting all day and not walking is very hard for me. And once I heal, I’ll have to do it again to get the organs infused.

Acknowledge the questions for disabled attendees. I attend 6+ cons a year, and FWA is consistently the worst for accessibility. They don’t even have a dedicated page for it on their website! In this day and age, it is ridiculous that they don’t consider non-abled bodied attendees in all of this.

As a disabled individual, my response of wondering if I will be able to experience the con events the same way as a non-disabled attendee is not “freaking out”. Yes, other cons have similar systems, but they also have a clearly explained separate system for ADA guest. FWA doesn’t and is refusing to

with no notice, what would happen if I walked in and had a seizure and had to leave immediately? Or if an autistic person got overstimulated within minutes of entering? Would we not be allowed back in? This system effectively makes these events inaccessible for people like me.

Please reconsider the allowed time to be late. FWA is already one of the hardest cons to get anywhere on time due to the elevator situation, and this will just add more stress to that.
