We should make June 14th No Kings Day permanently.

I’m Kat Abughazaleh and I approve this message.

i brought extras and people were asking me for these at #nokings until i ran out of the one on the left and got to say “sorry i have no fucks left to give”

My favorite protest sign so far. 🔥 NO KINGS!

The day started with tragedy with political violence in MN and instead of being scared, neighbors SHOWED UP to stand together at No Kings Twin Cities. We packed the Capitol Mall all the way to the Cathedral. Estimate 80,000+ right now. So proud of our state. #nokings #indivisible

Also noteworthy that unlike the ICE agents cosplaying as operators, actual National Guard soldiers are not wearing masks.

What a contrast: On the one hand, one grandiose spectacle in the nation's capital, a panorama of propaganda put on by an aspiring autocrat. On the other hand, thousands of assemblies of free citizens across the nation, authentic celebrations of the proposition that here the people rule.

Absolutely massive protest in Chicago today. All exceptionally good natured (so far anyway.) Cops on bicycles, no riot gear. All sorts here, including actual communists, Gaza protesters, immigrant groups, but I'd say the dominant type is NPR-listening liberal

I wrote quite a lot about how the left’s hateful rhetoric fueled the killings of the healthcare CEO and Israeli embassy staffers. I’m going to either ignore this weekend’s assassinations in Minnesota or maybe write something both siding them.

Bottle necked marchers on 40th street merging into 5th Ave break out chanting with fervor: fuck Andrew Cuomo

[Exit King.]

We have plenty of reasons to be in the streets today. But one big one is we’re marching because Rep. Melissa Hortman can’t. We’re sending love to her family, and we’re sending rage toward Washington, D.C.

Sign ideas for the #NoKings protests tomorrow:

So very wrong and sad

[alanis morissette voice] it's like raaa-ee-aaaaaain / on your military parade

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state Keep that same energy of support for her

wow I wonder if the cops who lied about the sitting senator even though everything they did was on tape are also being less than honest about the presence of violent agitators at the protests in los angeles. they might even not have told the entire truth about other protests

This is absolutely insane, and criminal. Everyone, especially a Senator representing the state, has a right to speak out. The fact that the agents felt protected in acting this way says everything. We’re quickly traversing a dangerous path

Because Black people know that there is no such thing as “identification” or “identifying yourself”. They aren’t saying Padilla didn’t identify himself as a U.S. Senator. They are saying that there is only one acceptable identity — credential — being white and, in these times, being pro-Trump.

Sen. Alex Padilla, who was just forcibly removed from a DHS press conference, is the ranking member of Judiciary’s subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, and border safety, which has “oversight of federal agencies with citizenship, asylum, refugee, and immigration enforcement responsibilities.”
