While I enjoy all the bagging on Noemi’s cash, I cannot lie. I have often had $3,000 in my purse so I can shop without my husband seeing exactly what I spent where. It’s just healthier for our marriage. It’s our own little don’t ask and I won’t tell policy. Especially around Christmas.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, your baby struggling with depression this week doesn’t need tough love, they need you to be willing to sit with them, even in silence to let them know they are seen, loved and valued. That and making sure they are safe.

In a way it’s a relief. As a former criminal defense attorney I always knew that if you were white and affluent you got much better results. However, no one outside of that group seemed willing to admit it. Now we rip the bandaid off and show the gross infection of our 2 standards of justice.
