So, to be clear, Musk has now admitted he funded a man he believes to be a pedophile to be president. And Trump has now admitted that he gave access to high level government secrets to a man he believes to be a big time drug addict. This should be *the* story on the Sunday shows tomorrow.

Literally two weeks ago Stephen Miller screamed at ICE leadership for not raiding Home Depots.

“Since Thursday’s exchange [between Musk and Trump], at least three commercial space companies, Rocket Lab, Stoke Space and Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin, have been contacted by government officials about the status of their rockets and when they might be available for government missions…”

We’re now seeing paramilitary ICE raids in LA — with full on military garb, military tanks, flash bang grenades & the arrest of a major labor leader. This is a core manifestation of fascism — using federal forces to put down dissent. If we don’t stop this now, this is the future everywhere.

No no you misunderstand. Learn to Code was the scam that beget the scam!

NEW: Unbelievable. A seemingly endless line of tanks & other military vehicles arrive in DC ahead of next week's parade. They departed Texas 5 days ago. What a colossal waste of time, money & military resources. All for a President who has shown zero respect for service personnel. (🎥 DW)

It’s so funny how the same centrists arguing Democrats should pivot away from identity issues are also incredibly weak on economic issues. Rahm is like, let’s stop talking about bathrooms and start talking about means tested tax credits.

it's like they will never figure out that they can beat the nazis by trying to be the opposite of them instead of being the lite version

They are never, ever, ever getting back together. Like, ever.

THE NEW YORK TIMES ETHICIST (watching Zone of Interest): haha nice. sick house

Very cool and normal, something flourishing democracies that are very much not undergoing a fascist coup do all the time

Abrego Garcia atty Sandoval-Moshenberg tells me: “We will be opposing the motion to stay. There are still plenty of facts yet to uncover about the government’s contempt of Judge Xinis’s orders.”

The year is 2557. All human life is extinct. In geosynchronous orbit, a satellite containing the last Studentbot is still asking a satellite containing the last Teacherbot if there's any way it can do some extra credit to make up the last few missing points in its grade

"Balko notes that for Stephen Miller, Trump’s closest advisor and our new shadow president, “Ridding the country of non-white immigrants has been a core part of his identity for his entire life.” What Trump and Miller hope to create is a Concentration Camp Nation."

one thing about americans, we will make our own lives worse and more expensive if it means a group we think is “undeserving” gets punished

This went viral awhile ago because of the names, but what stuck out to me is that there are 4-5 girls (Bootus?) in a class of 30. This is highly unlikely in an actual class, but if you examine media from the past 100 years or whatever, you'd have the impression that humans are overwhelmingly male.

People are getting kidnapped by the secret police for arguing the position of the Financial Times opinion page.

Honestly loathe that abundance stuff is probably just gonna shape up into a left-punching pro-privatization donor pleasing soiree instead of state-capacity building labor liberalism

Kilmar Abrego García is being railroaded, and that’s a far more crucial analysis than lawsplaining the corrupt indictment against him.

Taxpayer-funded paramilitaries are invading our communities while Republicans are kicking people off Medicaid

I believe in an America where billionaires pay their fair share and normal people can afford to get by.

The - admittedly entertaining - operatic feud between Musk and Trump should not distract us from the fact that their joint fascist coup already resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and will kill many more in the long run 1/ www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

If I were in charge of a small liberal arts school, I would start thinking about aggressively marketing my institution as a "knowledge-first" college. One where students can escape the intrusion of constant AI and focus on deep learning and engagement.

Been saying this for weeks. In order to build a mass deportation machine to round up and deport 4% of the entire goddamn population, you must first build the police state.

And thanks to a generation of reactionary centrists, feckless Dems, autocratic GOPers, and a TV culture of non-stop crime shows and bleeds-it-leads news, we spent TWENTY-FIVE YEARS of declining and low crime rates building out that police-state style police system at EVERY level of government.

Very zesty post about your new ballroom Mr President. Think of the dresses they’ll wear

"Only Trump could go to China*." *To seek out untold crypto millions from a Chinese Communist Party operative as Trump was talking about getting tough on China.

Probably his best post ever. Concise, good visuals.

The critique of the Naderite preference for adversarial legalism and redundant proceduralism over state capacity is one of the best and most important ideas in the “abundance” mixed bag

"Black applicants would, on average, need credit scores approximately 120 points higher than white applicants to receive the same approval rate, and about 30 points higher to receive the same interest rate."

"It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy” www.wnep.com/article/news...

not enough said about how, by turning the national government against states on the basis of ordinary political disagreement, trump is undermining the idea that the union is worthwhile. www.cnn.com/2025/06/06/p...

UPDATE: David Huerta has been released from the hospital but remains in custody. His words: "We all collectively have to object to this madness because this is not justice. This is injustice." Free David Huerta. Free them ALL.
