I actually cried when I heard this. All I’ve wanted for Biden since he suspended his campaign is that he have a nice life, to enjoy his family and his retirement. It kills me that he can’t even have that. He deserves so much more than he’s gotten.

And here’s something longer about the Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act: www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov...

The Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act absolutely outlaws that. Here’s a fact sheet about it: www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov...

The man has been through enough. Everyone needs to just leave him alone.

I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Laura fucking Loomer.

Not to mention, if the hostages are what you’re concerned about, I would think this would drastically decrease the chances they’ll come back alive.

I was wondering how she could look at Stephen Miller and decide she wanted to wake up to him every morning. You just answered my question.

I introduced my early-20s daughter to “The Wire,” and she loved Frank. She thought there was something noble about him and his efforts to do right by his guys. Really a tragic hero.

One of the bleakest and eeriest songs I’ve ever heard. The covers by Nina Simone, the Neville Brothers, and Rise Against are worth listening to as well.

Tell Renee I LOVE that skirt.

Nice! I’m going to borrow this next time some random number texts me.

I was just going to ask if Fucking Asshole works as well.

Truer words were never spoken. Although I feel that way about pretty much all of Clapton’s solo work.

He’s quoting the Communist Manifesto!

What I find interesting is that all four of the previous presidents this century, including Trump, have seen their approval ratings drop over the first six months. Does that always happen? Like people realizing the president isn’t a miracle worker?

I expected better from her. I am so disappointed.

That would explain a lot.

Proud to have him as my senator!

Took me a second, but I did get it. Nice work.

Good point. But the Nazis still would have killed him eventually.
comment in response to post
The irony, of course, being that Himmler and his compatriots would have killed him along with the rest of the Jewish population.

I wondered if anyone else saw this.

Go Caps! Oh, wait, you meant those penguins…

He’s been talking about the greatness of tariffs since the 80s. This isn’t new for him.

As an American Jew, how dare they do this — all this — in our name?

You and me both.

“Rude.” So freaking whiny.
comment in response to post
This is easy — that terrible song “Rude.” “Why you gotta be so rude?” Because you’re a whiny little shit, that’s why.

I love seeing this young girl get so much support.

Hilarious because from the limited amount I’ve read about the movie, it sounds like she’s its lone bright spot.

I am so ashamed of my alma mater.

I grew up in that album and I still can sing along to almost every song on the album.

Meanwhile, there was a commercial during yesterday’s Big 10 championship about how Trump is going to eradicate cancer. If I didn’t know better, I would have sworn it was a leftover campaign ad.

He’s done as minority leader, no matter what happens. He’ll never again be able to unite the party because they won’t trust him.
comment in response to post
God knows I wouldn’t.
comment in response to post
I think whatever happens, Schumer is done as minority leader. He may votes he needs for cloture, but I don’t think Senate and Congressional Democrats at large will ever trust him again.

Sorry, just saw you had Van Hollen.

Of course, I just realized I misinterpreted the chart — I read it as we have more than seven nos on cloture and thus it’ll fail. Sigh, it’s been a long day. Still proud of my senators, though.
comment in response to post
Warner’s said he’s voting no on cloture.
comment in response to post
Thank God — happy to see Dem senators finally fighting, and I’m proud of both my senators.

Please vote no on cloture. If you’re going to fight Trump and Musk, REALLY fight them. Passing cloture will make any resistance to the CR merely performative, and performance is the last thing we need right now.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I don’t understand why. Was it that a bunch of senators didn’t want to be seen as causing a shutdown?
comment in response to post
Wait, what?!?

Seriously, why does Tuberville keep getting these news hits? He’s possibly the dumbest thing on two feet.
