From a dear comrade who was kind enough to let me share their video. Veterans stage a sit-in on the US Capitol steps and say, “Military off our streets!” Hell yeah!

The truth is brutal and horrible, but we need to be honest. The memory culture of one genocide - the Holocaust - has made it difficult for many to recognize and stop another genocide - the eradication of the Gaza Strip.

I was hanging up Know Your Rights posters in the neighborhood and had a nice chat w/a guy also flyering (for something else). He hadn't heard that ICE was taking people off the streets without warrants. Talk to your neighbors, if you can. A lot of people don't know what's going on!

One of the dads at my daughter’s elementary school asked me today if I wanted to go to a protest with his family, and all I can say is if the PTA moms and dads are this pissed off, this weekend is gonna be lit.

More people should be talking about the utter freak that is Stephen Miller and his white nationalist worldview. He's the architect behind most of this chaos as Trump is golfing, falling asleep during meetings, making money of memecoins and tripping while climbing stairs.

This is the most LA picture. I love LA so so much.

is being terminally online bad for you? yes does it make you less happy than your offline friends? absolutely is there anything that matches the high of a poster's ragnarok? there is not, and that's why we can never log off

Asset tests should not be reinstated. They are a predictably ineffective and cruel administrative burden that make it impossible for the very poor to have basic dignity. From @pamherd.bsky.social and I in the @aeajournals.bsky.social‬ Journal of Economic Perspectives www.aeaweb.org/articles?id=...

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 12: However good your work is, there will be people who hate it. This is an inescapable part of having readers. Live with it. Accept it. And know that for every person who doesn’t like your work, there may be another whose life has been changed by something you wrote.

Bananas. Everything about them makes me sick.

This is me in October 2015, almost 2 months on HRT and gender-affirming care. TW: self harm. I can say today in no uncertain terms: If not for my ability to get this life-saving care, thanks to Medicaid coverage via the Affordable Care Act, I would not be around today. 1/4

Imagine calling Bruce Springsteen overrated.

Nicholas was diagnosed with TWO rare diseases, Beta Thalassemia and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Doctors said he wouldn’t live past 18. But this fall, thanks to Medicaid, he’s headed to college. Medicaid gives kids like Nicholas the ability to fight. Nicholas is why we fight. youtu.be/t_3fhIVC9UE

Let’s be clear. Stephen Miller is likely “actively looking at” chopping people up with an ax for fun, too, so the real question is: “Why does Stephen Miller want this particular headline right now?”

A Chicago Pope implies the existence of an MLA Pope and APA Pope

First Pope to serve his hot dogs Chicago-style (topped with crumbled chocolate cake and medium rare hamburger)

It’s weird to live in a time when basic principles like cruelty is wrong, cheating is empty & the idea that curiosity, generosity, originality, the satisfaction of earned accomplishments & loving intimacy are the center of a good life feel like countercultural concepts

So, PEZuzot are a thing! Amazing. Do want.

I’ve heard of RA … because I have it. And even if I eat kale all day and do yoga every morning, I’ll still have it and will need to take medication to treat it. If I don’t take my meds, I will literally die in a few years—the average life expectancy after diagnosis used to be 10 years before meds.
