Ended up dropping after round 5 after getting bodied three times by Ruby/Sapphire. Serves me right for making my strategy "dodge r/b into top 16 and pray." Blue/Steel diggy hole did great in the other matches though! Blue/Steel aggro and Blue/Steel items. Tomorrow is another day!

Just got word that the case tournament I was set to judge later this month is being postponed because the TO can't get their hands on more Archazia's Island. I had no idea there was a supply issue with this set. Are we really just ripping that many packs chasing crabs and ducks?

Good luck this weekend in draft and sealed, all. My strategy is simple for Archazia's Island: is it a kitty? DRAFT IT. If not, is it a puppy? DRAFT IT. If neither, pick whatever is inkable, quests for two more, or has evasive. This is in addition to my standing Do Not Pass Heihei rule.

BlueSky is a crazy place. In this most recent session of doomscrolling, I have seen at least a dozen "puppy" posts. Some are Lorcana. Most are NSFW posts. Only one was about an actual puppy. (I think. May have been a stealth NSFW post.) The algorithm here is THIRSTY.

Seeing a lot of people unhappy with the Archazia's Island spoilers because the dual ink cards can only be in a deck that matches both colors. I love it, personally. Allows Rav to support archetypes that need love to break out, like Red/Steel combat or Blue/Yellow healing, without BREAKING the game

Finally stepped back behind the DM screen tonight. It's been a good year since I ran a game and omg did my players deliver tonight. I challenged them with a low-tech, low-magic setting full of high fantasy xenophobia and superstition and they are really rising to the occasion.

Finally got my Scar mat!! Came in second today at Crafty Coins in Fort Wayne. ^_^ Final record was 5-3. Lost to The mirror and ⚪🔵 in Swiss. Came back to 2-0 the same mirror in top 8 and then pull out a 2-1 against 🔴🟣. What a day. I am BUSHED.

Judged a small set championship today, and got to meet some newer players from the region. Love that Lorcana is still gaining people as friends bring in friends. Finals came down to a classic Steelsong v. Ruby/Amethyst match. Both players did well, but the draw gods favored R/A today.
