I think what you have discovered here is that he is a conservative and he enjoys stirring shit but he also understands that the role of journalists is not simply to platform people but to ask questions and challenge their positions

1. Sustainable taxation that stops funnelling money from the poor including clamping grown on legal tax avoidance 2. Proper investment in services (health, education, social care) and bringing things back into public control (water, energy, telecoms) 3. Having an actual vision for the future

The problem I suspect with this learning is reform will pick up votes and they will latch onto that as what the people want ignoring the volume of people voting for other left/centrist parties

I don't think they need to be rejoin right now, I think they need to navigate to a less severe position and join the CU and SM. Rejoin will come down the line right now we just need closer ties.

It won't just be tourists, institutions and organisations will.stop using the US for international conferences as attendees won't travel there, films will stop being filmed there as non-US actors won't want to risk going there
comment in response to post
Logic question, if the US was really being taken advantage of by every nation why is it the largest economy in the world? If everyone was taking advantage would this not impact that?

I like the King Harvest version

Also fun fact I was vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella as a child but when I went to the US for work in 2016 they wanted me to specifically have the MMR to be allowed into the country for work (so I am extra measles vaccinated)
comment in response to post
Well if the increase happened in the past 20 years it certainly wasn't the measles vaccine which was around when my sister was a baby 50 years ago.

Did I miss this sustained increase in living standards?

This right here is why every American should be treating this as an absolute emergency. The republicans are acting like they no longer have to worry about precedent which suggests they think there will never be another democrat in the White House and there is only one reason they would think that

I think it is an I based on how I learned I in cursive (albeit this one has more of a looping style)

Valid question, one has to hope good people

I mean they held the Olympics in Nazi Germany so can't imagine it will give them pause and FIFA have not covered themselves in glory with concern for human rights either

It is a great idea, have now added a paperclip

Have you seen Paper Clips

In essence they are like women in pencil skirts.

You can see their knees in this video, they are within their main body area. Penguins are optimised to travel over rock and snow so shuffling and hopping works for them.

I have a workplace diagnosis by a psychologist but now on waitlist for an NHS assessment to get a prescription. I have been on the waitlist for a year. They will literally do the same assessment I have alread done again (& that was 15hrs). This kind of redundancy is why it takes so long.
comment in response to post
Yes, why would they not have knees.

Even if they end tariffs tomorrow, the rhetoric, the posturing, it has pissed people off. Noone wants to support a bully they are not going back to buying US products while that man is in the white house

Consider Canada instead

Pleased to see they don't generally approve but all Americans need to stop seeing concessions of land to Russia as an option here. They cannot be allowed to retain so much as an inch of land they have taken - the message has to be that you can't take the land of other countries by force.

It is important to remember how weak he is. Also all decent countries need to take steps to reduce engagement with American goods/services in a more permanent way, make new alliances, cut the US out

Can't even tell you how many people I lost to cholera and dysentery. Worst part was as a kid you inevitably named your party after your family so you were forever having your mom and dad die. If anyone ever wonders why GenX are so feral...
comment in response to post
I think if Republicans in the house and senate ever thought there would be another election they would have taken action before this point. They are acting like there will never be another Democratic president - all Americans should be asking why they would do that.

That was my first thought - they showed themselves up, they are lightweights on the world stage.

UK unlike the US has Prime Ministers questions - must have missed Trump allowing the legislature to openly ask questions weekly and responding to justify the governments positions while being broadcast live so all of the public can watch

Much better than Bournemouth, nice beach which is good for walking/paddling, donkeys on the beach, pleasant town and harbour area - it is very much your stereotypical Georgian seaside town. Perfectly nice in its own right but good access to other places too.

I love Weymouth it is a pleasant seaside town not too commercial and really close for Isle of Portland, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis which are all interesting places to poke around

I think he knows that and just thinks he will take this planet instead

And this badboy: youtu.be/waJLv46_N6c?... which is the song I sign every time Trump speaks for the past 8 years.

This is the punchline of how do you get an elephant into a Safeway trolley (shopping cart for Americans)

The US leaving NATO is preferable to them staying in NATO but actively working to advance Russian interests (not for the US perhaps but for remaining members). While inside pissing out may be better than outside pissing in, inside pissing yourself & getting it on everyone in the tent doesn't work.

You are not alone, I am Anglo American (live in UK) and I am going to stop supporting American businesses as much as I can. How they are behaving right now, every decent thinking person should be looking to stop their money funding it in any way.

I use it for work as I can put a 1 qr code on material and then put a collection of links, documents and an ask a question button on linktree. It works well to create a simple landing page for sharing info (especially as it works well on phones).

Because trying to emulate the policies of a far right party worked so well for the conservatives. There are two major issues that need to be addressed to stop people being swayed by populist messaging - services need to be fixed and cost of living needs to decrease.

We still have these at work - usually a mix of white and blackboard on there now. Physicists like to use them when doing chalk and talk classes.

I'd like to report a crime, my neighbour is allowing one of his employees to work flexible hours to accommodate her childcare needs and he is providing an adapted chair for another employee as an accommodation for his disability. Where will the madness end!

I don't think it would need to be trained
