Yet another day of infuriating Supreme Court news. If you're sick of this too, join our next Northwest Side protest on Saturday, July 12th. Chalk the Walk: Independence Park is a family-friendly way to raise our voices against this madness and inspire more neighbors to fight. mobilize.us/s/MQQdhd

Join us TOMORROW, June 26th, at Independence Park for a photo petition creating real-world visibility for victims of lawless detentions. It's a fast (<15 mins) yet powerful way for people from all walks of life to show outrage at the lack of due process afforded our neighbors. mobilize.us/s/i496J0

Back by popular demand! Join us this Saturday, June 28th, for another protest bracelet-making party! Build community and a visual identity for the Northwest Side! Our members loved them, and they helped attract more neighbors to the fight! All ages are welcome. RSVP now. 👇 mobilize.us/s/CaWrbm

At 1 am on 6/19, when SCOTUS allowed TN to ban gender-affirming care, a neighbor, Jessie Miller (she/he), finished writing a song. “I needed this song to remind me I am enough, I have always been enough, and my community is beautiful and vibrant.” Listen at amplifyicnw.org/song-i-see-your-colors/

We have three powerful ways to make your voice heard over the next couple of weeks!

Stories are powerful. They inspire. They humanize. They spread like wildfire. That's why we built amplifyicnw.org. To amplify our community's voices, one story (or poem!) at a time. Like this one about a wife's fear for her Mexican-American husband. amplifyicnw.org/poem-stand-b...

We loved celebrating the power of storytelling at the launch party for amplifyicnw.org. It was great to cap off #nokings weekend with our community, bringing to life why we’re in this fight via hyperlocal stories. Thanks to our amazing community, speakers, and hosts. So much more to come!

Our new media platform, amplifyicnw.org, tells the stories of our impacted neighbors AND those we call the "helpers." One such helper is @nanwarshaw.bsky.social. An Albany Park resident and founder of Refugee Community Connection. This week, she helps us dispel immigration myths. #amplifywithICNW

Do we really want to live in a country where you can be denied medical care because of your political views? www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Last Saturday, we held our first family-friendly protest: Chalk the Walk! It was a powerful, peaceful, and safe way for families to participate in #nokings. 500 people showed up in Jefferson Memorial Park. And there'll be more where that came from! Join us: indivisiblechicagonw.org

ICNW is thrilled to launch Amplify, an independent media org telling the stories of Northwest Chicago neighbors impacted by this admin and those fighting back! Our first story is about an immigrant mother, Isabel. Read more: icnw.social/amplifySky @indivisible.org @indivisiblechicago.bsky.social

At first, we expected 50. Instead, we got 500. 🤯 Multiple elected officials (s/o to State Rep. Lindsey LaPointe & 30th alder Ruth Cruz!) and media (ABC, NBC, WTTW, and Axios) showed up as well! Standing up for democracy takes all of us. And Chalk the Walk gave a platform to our families!

This was our first protest we ran as a chapter. Lots of little lessons learned. But, most importantly, it was a wild success giving hundreds of parents and kids the chance to participate in activism. So proud of our team and community!

Had a lovely time with hundreds of parents and kids at our family-friendly Chalk the Walk pre-protest on #nokings day. Big takeaway: parents want to be involved! You just gotta provide accessible options. 😊

For We the People to halt Trump’s autocratic breakthrough, millions of Americans need to feel like we’re part of something bigger. We need to understand that we’re part of a movement. We need to feel like we will win. That’s where tomorrow’s #NoKings Day comes in.

A project months in the making. We have an incredible team of journalists, editors, and neighbors helping tell the stories of impacted people in our communities, as well as the helpers doing something about it. Storytelling is activism. And we have a lot of stories to tell.

The fascist-in-chief can try all he'd like to scare us. But we WILL NEVER accept a King in America. Join millions across the country to say #nokings this Saturday. Our future depends on it. www.mobilize.us/indivisiblec...

Very easy to feel doomerish right now, but I'm taking some heart from this @leahgreenberg.bsky.social message laying out the rationale for Saturday's No Kings protests.

Calling all moms, dads, and fams! Looking to fight back against #maga, #ice and more but need a #familyfriendly option? Join us for "Chalk The Walk," a pre- #nokings rally gathering in Jefferson Park where we’ll raise our voices with art, love, and unity. RSVP today! 👇 icnw.social/chalk

Protest summer is underway! Started the morning with the families making protest bracelets for #nokings. Finished the afternoon with a Zillennial workout followed by handing out leaflets for #nokings. Who said resisting couldn't be fun?

Winning this fight requires all of us. Even your neighbors who don't follow politics. Reaching them online is extremely difficult. But physical advertising has no algorithms to fight. Build awareness and activate more neighbors by ordering a lawn sign today! www.customink.com/fundraising/...

Out doing the work today spreading the word for #nokings. Wanna help? Grab these leaflets at icnw.social/nokingsmini

Brining your 3yo to a protest downtown with 50k people: fear, anxiety, overwhelm Bringing them to a pre-protest at a park: easy, convenient, you were going there anyway on a Saturday morning Yeah, parents, we got you. 👇 icnw.social/chalk

Got a couple of hours tomorrow morning? Join @ludditegelfling.bsky.social, our Political Action Director, in handing out flyers for #nokings day. Details & RSVP 👇 mobilize.us/s/InFzfV

Had a great time at #Indivisifest in DC. Capped it off with a lil "Moral Monday" rally against the big terrible budget bill. Thanks to @indivisible.org for an awesome weekend!

🚨BREAKING: Leader Schumer promises to "fight tooth and nail to strike" provision in GOP budget bill making it harder for judges to hold Trump administration in contempt of court. "Republican’s naked subservience to a lawless President is gravely dangerous and Senate Democrats won’t stand for it."

Calling all #families, #swifties & neighbors who care about democracy! Meet us for an Eras-tour-inspired protest bracelet-making party so we look rad at #nokings 🌙 We’ll share with members at the No Kings Rally to build community and attract more to our cause! RSVP 👇 mobilize.us/s/mfxl7l

Want an easy way to make a difference? Repost content from local organizers (like us!). Shares, likes & comments take 2 seconds and greatly amplify the work we do to help save our democracy Every repost might just reach someone new who wants to get involved but doesn't know where to start. 🫶

We've got a team of 50+ volunteers organizing 1,500+ members fighting for democracy. They're sacrificing time and energy to make activism accessible and effective for everyone. Especially groups like families and young people who are often unable to participate. So proud of this June calendar. 😍

Want a mass mobilization against Trump? Building community is how you get there. We've got a bunch of great social and political events in June. Meet your allies, make your voice heard, and be part of a growing pro-democracy movement. RSVP for events today! 👇 www.mobilize.us/indivisiblec...

Proud to say that when our independent media outlet launches in the next few weeks, we'll be using @ghost.org! We'll share stories of neighbors who've been impacted by Project 2025 plus the people making things right. Join us for our kickoff event on June 15th. 👇 mobilize.us/s/SfMUHF

It's hard for families with young children to attend massive rallies in downtown Chicago. So we're committed to providing accessible ways for parents to join the fight. On June 14th, join us at 9:30 am at Jefferson Park for a pre-protest gathering. Details & RSVP 👇 icnw.social/chalk

Never been prouder to be called "scum." If believing in the rule of law and an independent judiciary is "radically leftist," then "scum" I shall be. #NoKings #indivisiblechicagonw

Nonviolent protests reaching 3.5% of the population never failed to bring about change. We got 1% of the US for Hands Off. We need No Kings to be even bigger! How? Drop the RSVP link in all your group chats, in your socials, and in your DMs. Don't stop talking about it. icnw.social/nokings

Calling all Northwest Side families! 📣 Join us for a family-friendly pre-protest on June 14th. Bring the little ones for: ✍️ Sign-making stations 🎨 Chalk art and templates ❤️ Community-building activities for all ages All are welcome. We'll head downtown as a group after. icnw.social/chalk

"If your theory of winning against the authoritarians is mass peaceful protest, what’s the first word? Mass. It’s got to be big,” Greenberg said during a recent Indivisible call. “It’s got to be overwhelming. And you don’t just snap your fingers and get there. You build. You build over time.”

The massive nationwide "No Kings" protest is 3 weeks away. It's up to all of us to make sure people show up in force against this administration. If you live on Chicago's NW side, print and hang this flyer around our neighborhoods! RSVP if you haven't already: www.mobilize.us/mobilize/eve...

Let's continue to inspire courage for others to do the right (but difficult!) thing by showing up to mass actions like No Kings Day on June 14th. www.mobilize.us/indivisiblec...

Your POV when the only three aldermen who voted against blocking J6 rioters from city jobs are on the Northwest Side...

Winning the fight for democracy requires as many people as possible. We're seeking passionate Northwest Side neighbors to help grow our chapter. Specifically, we need: 🌎 Social Media Managers 📝 Copywriters 🤝 Community Managers DM for more info or schedule an interview. 👇 icnw.social/interview

Our chapter launched 3 months ago. 1,500 members and 50+ volunteers later, we've laid the foundation for a powerful pro-democracy movement. Thank you to all our amazing neighbors who have sacrificed their time, energy, and resources for the greater good. Join us. indivisiblechicagonw.org

Why protest? It inspires, it builds awareness, and it drives change. According to a Harvard study, sustained non-violent protests that engage 3.5% of a population never failed to bring about change. We hit 1% on April 5th. Let's aim higher on June 14th. 👇 www.mobilize.us/mobilize/eve...

We've got a bunch of great under-35 events coming up! First: RSVP for one of our bi-weekly discussion groups at Pilot Project in Logan Square. Meet other pro-democracy Zillennials, discuss how you view the state of politics, and how we can support each other. mobilize.us/s/KJLci0

Parents of young children are typically underrepresented in political action for many reasons. Which is why they'll be a major focus group for us moving forward. We already offered free onsite childcare at our town hall. And there'll be plenty more family-friendly actions like this coming up. 😁

As a first-time organizer, it's interesting to see various factions in the community. We've made the strategic decision to target first-timers, with a special focus on young people and families. However, we've gotten (isolated) backlash from the faction that thinks we should be preparing for war.
