By taking center stage and calling for total surrender by Iran, pushing negotiations aside like he did with Montenegro’s PM, Trump is emasculating Ali Khamenei rather than giving him an honorable out. Getting rid of Iran’s threat makes sense, but it shouldn’t be related to our president’s ego.
