Could have been worse - at least it wasn't Bell's.

Whisky alone should be fine, as long as it's decent stuff.

It's never long enough, unfortunately.

I'm using Bazzite, which is a gaming-oriented Linux distro.

Sounds like the type of arsehole we encountered.

Next step, see if I can convince central services that their service is deficient and they are therefore legally compelled to fix things.

...Central Services won't give a straight answer on the phone, take 5 days to reply to emails, appear to not understand what I'm asking, and what me to prepare the plans for any repair work and pay them in advance before they'll even do a quote for repairs.

...as there's a more serious underlying issue he wants to be resolved first. I called a specialist who looked at the serious issue and said that it could indeed be fixed at great cost. He seemed reluctant and recommended I call the service provider ("Central Services" is a good name for them)...

At a jazz jam anyone sitting in with the rhythm section (piano, double bass, drums) for 1-2 tunes would normally use the house player's instrument as these are all bulky (but at the player's discretion, I'd assert). The worst entitlement offenders in my experience are guitarists.

Nice! Though I understand from your blog post that these won't be competing with Garmin etc., could they at least provide basic running tracking, for those exercising more casually? IIRC there used to be Pebble apps for this but I didn't use them at the time and don't know their capabilities.

I was indeed wondering about that.

Perhaps merely the regular Sahara...

My work-related skills (programming computers) probably won't help. Hobbies of shooting and fencing(*) might come in handy in an apocalypse, sadly. (*) Not the modern sports version.

"What makes you think that you haven't [ordered goods]? Paypal correctly recorded your purchase - what more did you expect?" Such excellent service!
