We don’t have much connection, you and I. Still, this encounter feels special. I hope you won’t mind if I think of you as a friend.

"They draw near to Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me." These words have stuck out to me lately, and have called me to humble myself and strive to be a better representative of Jesus Christ. Humility is a crucial component of Christ‘s teachings, a virtue we sadly so often forget.

They’ve always been one of the most staunch ally of Ukraine. They didn’t give out under the Blitz — God bless them with the strength to hold out through this new wave of far right authoritarianism.

I’ve thought about this exact thing. Whether it’s as explicit as that infamous pact or not, Trump seems interested in dividing the world into spheres of influence between authoritarian powers.

LinkedIn as "Pride" is spot on. Nowhere have I seen more boasting, self-congratulation , and believing oneself to be higher than others, than on LinkedIn 😂

I played for a few hours before deciding I wanted to play the old games first. I’m really loving it ❤️

Haha I remember when people were upset about a dev with a 🌈 Bethesda logo. People need to learn the virtues of pluralism. Even if you don’t agree with something, people’s right to live their way protects your right to the same. Also, it’s worthwhile to talk to people who are different than oneself.

Microsoft Edge has a built-in coupon finder — I wonder if they’re stealing commissions or not. I could see it happening both ways, as Microsoft could be incentivized to add the feature just so that ppl use their browser, but poaching commissions makes money, so…🤷🏻‍♂️

Let me know when we have less games. Just because someone else is able to enjoy something doesn’t take it away from you. Xbox‘s position is vastly understated. PS5 : Xbox sales being 2:1 means Xbox has 33% of the high end console market. That ain’t bad at all, really.

The library of games, including first party games and exclusives, has gotten significantly better over the last few years, as has game pass.

Okay, here me out: play on your Xbox. Has playing on your Xbox gotten, in any tangible way, worse? I usually play on my Xbox. My Xbox is way more capable than my PC, for half the cost.

So it turns out that the Drake Mule is real 😂

nice things in the Xbox ecosystem. 🙂

I now have a series X, and a desktop w/ Ryzen 5700x & Radeon 6600. Games look better on the Series X, but it’s nice to be able to play the same saves on my PC and cnsl so I can play on both couch and desk. There are reasons to celebrate. I get that maybe GP isn’t cool to you, but there are a lot of

Btw, I’ve been primarily on Xbox since the 360. I got GP in 2019 for my new gaming laptop in college after taking a break from games for 2 years for religious service abroad. I loved that Xbox was letting me take saves over w/ play anywhere and that I could do crossplay and parties w/ my bro on cnsl

My point is, try not to fall into the doom and gloom drama. It’s not reality. Enjoy the good games, and celebrate that others get to play some of them too (after an exclusivity period and at higher cost 😉). Enjoy the ride, and have fun, mate 🧡

Okay, let’s go beyond exclusives. Game pass. Quick resume. Smart delivery. Play anywhere. These are all advantages of a console. Even as someone with a PC, these things are attractive and give me a reason to play on the Xbox console. Play anywhere and GP especially allow one to move btwn cnsl & PC.

I don’t know, but I don’t intend to play it.

That’s objectively wrong. There are plenty of games that aren’t on PlayStation or Switch that are on Xbox. Most notably, game pass isn‘t on PlayStation or Switch. If you have a good PC you don’t need any console, but there are still reasons to buy each one.

I think it has a lot to do with the good stuff being remembered and the bad forgotten. In a way, it shows that we have a great capacity to move on and look at the bright side, it just takes time.

I honestly think the opposite - I think Microsoft is very interested in Xbox as a brand, and will work to make Xbox a more robust store. A lot of the comments from Phil and others, in my mind, point to an Xbox emulator on PC, or are very least an Xbox front end for Windows akin to SteamOS.

I think the overall number is about 1100. I think as Xbox on PC is expanded more outside of game pass it’ll get better, and also when games are added to GP, even temporarily, they added to the Xbox PC store and most often become play anywhere. No Man’s Sky was like that.

No explosion, they simply annihilate each other in an instant.

So, what’s the downside for you? What is actually different?
comment in response to post
Well, a very great number of them, you can play on Windows, assuming you purchased them digitally. Still, this really should be expanded, and some sort of Xbox emulator on Windows would finish bridging the gap.

Liberalism is not the same as liberal as in liberal vs conservative. Basically, liberalism is when you value liberty. Freedom of speech, religion, assembly, press, etc.

We can focus on what unites us while still acknowledging the parts of our identity that make us who we are. Race is similar. We can be blind to race in some aspects, but we can and probably should acknowledge how race impacts our experiences and identities, and celebrate each other.
comment in response to post
Should we be blind to people’s beliefs, or should we be tolerant and have mutual respect? A large part of my identity is my faith. A large part of another’s identity might be their belief that there is no god. One’s belief system and world view is naturally a large part of their identity.

What do you mean by people who give their identity as a religion?

I’ve always been a big fan of Elder Kearon. God helps His children through His children.

Heads up, it looks like you might need to update your link from the Steam page to bluesky — maybe you changed your bluesky handle?

While I strongly support but the cause of Ukraine and the independence and freedom of Syrians, I don’t wish for people to die without need. Let’s not delight in bloodshed.

I have a 128 GB USB drive, so I’m not sure how meaningful this actually is, lol.
