Having flashbacks to when I was still doing War Takes on The Other Site and there was a Jacobin article where someone was breathlessly pontificating about New Zealand buying "American warplanes" that push it closer into conflict with China. They were P-8 MPAs. Also they had no weapons.

Yeah CNN was saying "about 500" Marines at Twenty Nine Palms were given "prepare to deploy" orders - which tracks with at least one battalion give or take. www.cnn.com/politics/liv...

Clearly they'll just do anything to get out of Twenty Nine Palms.

He was cool as hell. Most of the veterans I've interacted with - even borderline-insane former infantry Marines - are just normal people who spent a few years in the service. It's impossible to overstate how much the SpecOps Industrial Complex has skewed our views of what the military is.

My dad spent a week in the cardiac ICU last January. One of his nurses was a Marine veteran in his early 30s: hipster mustache, tons of tattoos, extremely good at his job. He joined the Corps because he was smart and came from a place that didn't have a lot of opportunities, not to shoot Americans.

Also just now noticing all the things I fucked up with the back of that coyote guy's head and am loudly internally screaming.

That's what I went with for a while but it just started to bother me. I think in retrospect what I should have done here is sorta ear cup full coverings but higher up on the head (I did something in another pic a while back but forgot) rather than the sorta psuedo-ear bud thing I went for here.

I learned two things while drawing this picture: 1.) I like this Staedtler Norris digital pen that I got but I'm not a fan of the Staedtler nibs - they feel too mushy and I don't have as good a control over the thickness of my lines. 2.) I'm still figuring out how to do headsets with furries

They always look too small for whoever's head they're on too.

It looks objectively like shit. Especially if you're not wearing cans and you can just see the (almost always a) dude's goofy ass ears and shit. It just looks fucking dumb.

The weakness of the adversary is not your strength, but it can be made into opportunity. That does not negate its threat.
