Ooh thank you kindly

This movie was actually my introduction to him so seeing him do bizarro comedy after such a sweet heartfelt role was such a strange switch haha

This is one of the few movies I own on DVD, is how you know I really like it.

Wait how is it relevant now I’m curious lol

God every song in this movie is a knock-out, Queen Latifah is incredible

The ones I have have all three, they’re blank ones I used for this print. Don’t know how well they’d actually work for 3D comics but they’re cheap!

Well I got a boatload of red/blue/green anaglyph hand-held viewers if you ever need any lol

Also I have no idea what the acidity of my soil is because my hydrangeas are running the gamut

Now that I know what to look for, I’m appreciating all the ladybug life stages living on Minmo. Good job, little beetles, eat all the whatever it is chewing up the leaves and leaving silver shit everywhere

And even if you’ve been doing it for nearly 20 years it still feels like reinventing the wheel

This is allowed, there are no rules.

at least you can presumably tell which character is which in that thumbnail lol.

Penciling also takes a lot of brainwork. By the time I get to inks and colors it's easy street. Inking is my favorite step. Coloring is hard because I have a hard time knowing when a page is "done." COMICS

You may think the hardest part of making comics is drawing the comics but the vast majority of my brainwork goes into writing and thumbnailing. Which is, coincidentally, the least cool looking part of the whole thing so it makes me feel like I get NO work done when I'm doing them.

I figured it out: it helps when you're working on the same thumbnail and the same page of the script, and not a page off. No wonder I couldn't parse the thumbnails. You're really seeing how the comics sausage is made today, folks.

There’s three!!!! What was I doing back in September when I drew these???
comment in response to post
Usually I can figure out what I was thinking when I made the thumbnails but golly what a jolly day I’m having a hard time with this one

Was this the Woodstock that was a muddy poopy mess or was that ‘99?

Right up my alley of “horror/internet deep dives/video essays” this was made for me

This fucking ruled, Cohen

Damn that’s a way better way of looking at it than my usual “am I stupid for never noticing”

This is how I learned he was a hip hop artist and that just makes him cooler ngl

The ultimate move

Depends on what sort of ungulate the jackalope is aping. If it’s a pronghorn-type they’d shed the outer horn while still keeping an inner core bone nubbin.

love and also hate that you know exactly what expression I was thinking about while drawing that panel
comment in response to post
luckily over the years I've learned a pretty handy trick to fix this, but it still makes me go "COOL" and have to take a little walk every time.
