Reposting because I'm absolutely going to read the full thing later today. Look, this is a paper from APPLE dunking on the usefulness of "AI". It is a HUGE deal.

This is what patriotism looks like - marching toward the Capitol with pride, purpose, and the promise of liberty for all.

“How to stop an overflowing toilet” should not have a 30 second commercial before it on YouTube.

Reminder that our Constitution guarantees due process to ALL persons — not just citizens — and enshrines habeas corpus as a fundamental right. Either everyone has due process — or no one does.

Oh, Canada.

underrated part of being an independent journalist: you can rightfully call tom homan a bitch and not lose your job.

Abolish ICE.

as an Indigenous person I just feel like since all those early settlers came with no process and just killed us en masse and stole our land, it’s not very fair to have a process for anyone else Indigenous people from the americas have more right to be here than white europeans

I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple. Just because Stephen Miller has kidnapping quotas for brown people he doesn't want to see on the street doesn't mean we have to think it's okay.

New — Dispatch to me from a protester outside of NYC immigration court tonight:

Its fine if you disagree with me about trans women competing in women's sports but don't get mad if I ask what you know about women's sports that Simone Biles, Dawn Staley, Sue Bird, Megan Rapino, and Brianna Turner don't

“…the rest of the class doesn’t know what a pronoun is….” Children are much more open and accepting than adults give them credit for. If one child says, “I’m a girl”, the others will often say “okay” and get on with their lives.

I think a lot about self-defense guides for trans women which note we cannot cry out for help like other women because we are likely to be accused of being the instigator in a situation where we are in fact the victim

There's no non-obscene way to wash a cucumber. Just...nope.

Let's keep our transgender servicemembers and kick out Hegseth.

For all Hegseth’s talk about making our military stronger and more lethal, implementing this un-American transgender military ban will do the opposite.   It shrinks our fighting force. It undermines readiness. It jeopardizes our national security. www.advocate.com/news/tammy-d...

If you're willing to risk your life for our country and can kill our enemies with lethal precision, it shouldn't matter if you're gay, straight, transgender, white, Black or anything else.

On June 6, 1944, 81 years ago, the US and allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from Hitler’s tyrannic rule. These brave soldiers gave their lives to defend democracy. We must honor them by continuing the fight against authoritarianism and fascism in all its forms.

If a seven-year-old can’t walk to the store the fault lies not with the parents but with the community.

“Please”.

As we mark the 81st anniversary of D-Day, we honor the brave American servicemembers and Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy, fought and died to save the free world from Nazi oppression.   We owe a debt to these heroes we could never repay.

I've fumbled typing a password so many times in the exact same place that I've decided that hitting backspace and correcting it is just part of the password now

You know you can just not use AI, right? You can make a choice not to be part of this. Even if your job uses it, YOU don’t have to in your normal life. You don’t have to let your kids use it. You didn’t have it three years ago. You can just…be on Team Human. You can choose.

I’m sorry. It’s Allison Krauss. I’ll allow it.

It's crazy to me how much the anti trans side goes after GLAAD for criticizing the New York Times for their transphobic coverage. This is what they were literally created to do. They were founded in 1985 to counter the homophobic coverage in the media.

The headliner was Declan McKenna, in 2017 I think. The opening act was a young woman named Chappell Roan.

If you followed me today because of that one joke, expecting more content like that… boy, are you in for a surprise.

I’m just so glad we don’t have one of those super-emotional women in charge, it would’ve been so embarrassing.

remember this morning? that was one month ago

Take away the right to say ‘fuck’ and you take away the right to say ‘fuck the government.’– Lenny Bruce

Gonna be hilarious when they both ragestroke out on the toilet tonight as they get into their prime posting hours

you know it’s pride month when everyone online is watching 2 high agency males going at it

And I’m over here making the Bluesky equivalent of throwaway dick jokes. (The whole thread. Really.)

As many people as are responding favorably to this, maybe we should actually make it a thing.

Buddy, if you think I can’t both laugh at something and be full of incandescent range at a different thing at the same time then have you even been an American?

So you’re saying my 87-year-old mother, with peripheral neuropathy that limits her ability to walk, and on supplemental oxygen, needs to update her résumé?

I've been offline all afternoon to do some writing. What did I miss?

Okay, hear me out. We get Australia to change their national anthem to “March of the Toreadors” from Bizet’s Carmen. Then, when Oscar Piastri wins an F1 race, they start playing the national anthem, and everyone starts spraying champagne before the trophies are awarded.

This is a brilliant idea for an interactive graph. Is anyone at The Pudding listening?

I mean, this is *why* you don't just give the keys to the entire federal government to Some Guy. Like, this is literally what we were warning about.
