At the tail end of my previous career, ppl would send me this shit and have me "customize" it for them for their design. I was a professional artist and designer for decades. I went to school for it. I can draw an actual portrait, ma'am. It's just so lazy and SO bland.

It's super cool when ppl traumatize you cuz you won't see them for years and years until "HELLO IM ALSO IN YOUR DREAMS".

Running away from this guy was like trying to run away from Michael Myers like hoooow are you right there when you have been walking and we have been running???
comment in response to post
I was SO embarrassed and apologetic as we literally ran away and tried to hide from him. 🤣

I struggle to make enough space for that thread-through when I'm going into butterfly from cupid; and was tempted to just film a regular invert to butterfly, where my caterpillar looks nice. 😆 But no! This is the brutal reality of pole. I've chosen to live with it.

Well there are no cats at my house so I'm stuck with a Dog Cam.

I might just sell it on Ebay when I'm done with it idk. I barely remember to use the camera on my phone so an entire separate camera seems excessive.

I'm gonna strap it to my dog and get her to run around.

Here's me in my parachute with a chair and a box fan attached to it. Flyin' around.

Y'all ready for some sick parkour vids?

I'll be drinking a Red Bull the whole time, obvs.

Y'all are gonna see what skydiving into a shark tank and then wrestling the sharks looks like.

I'm gonna strap it to my chest and go mountain biking.

That was more than two but oh well. As someone who has always been critical of our government and our reasons for going to war, it's never not been an honor to memorialize these ppl. I was always HAPPY to do it.

I feel like MOST military deaths are ultimately pointless; but that doesn't negate the lives that were lived or the love that was shared by and to those soldiers, or the intentions of each individual. And those things are worth celebrating imo.
comment in response to post
Let ppl feel their feelings, y'all. Especially where death is concerned. No one is the authority on what is an is not the "right" way to feel. We're honoring sacrifice by celebrating life - regardless of how you feel about our government.

Honestly, it's beyond weird to me that not only do ppl not recognize that in Memorial Day; but actually think it's appropriate to tell other ppl how to feel about those lives, and/or think that ppl SHOULD feel a specific way, and that the only "correct" way to feel is angry.
comment in response to post
After working in the monument industry for so long, I can promise you that 99% of the work I did was about honoring and celebrating a person's life. Our entire year revolved around Memorial Day, specifically honoring and celebrating those who made the ultimate sacrifice. (1/2)

Hoping using a Beatles gif impresses the Boomers.

I'm with @broccolina.bsky.social in the "I remember this from high school??" front cuz 2003 seems late. I could have sworn I was in high school when this came out. I don't dislike Monty Python; but in high school in particular I got kinda tired of it.

Though I guess this was right before I moves to Texas, so maybe we just watched it a lot over a short amount of time.

I was obsessed with the Tom Waits/Iggy Pop scene in this movie. Tbh it's weird that they haven't seen it, considering that they rolled around with me and Trish, who definitely rented it on the regular. 😆

Liiiiike Ben tours all the time, and usually he's in smaller venues. I'm not understanding the justification for that kinda price tag. 😆 Hard pass, y'all.

*The last time I saw him was in Austin, and I think those tickets were closer to $150 but they included a meet & greet, which was a HUGE deal foe me.
comment in response to post
Ftr I have seen Ben more times than I can count, at this point. I have NEVER paid more than $60* for a Ben ticket and even that was pushing it. My first Ben show was $19.

Also ftr if anyone is bothering you, I'll also be the first to start throwin' bows. 😆 You deserve time in the spotlight tho so I'm not out to dampen that until you also get hot grrl fatigue.

Ngl hanging out with you lately has been nice cuz I'm not the one that everybody's obsessed with. Everyone tells me how great you are and I'm like "yeah I know! That's my bestie!" and then they just leave me alone liiiiike thank fuck. I got hot grrl fatigue.

It gives you too much power. They can't handle it.
