Cunningham mentions everyone should Google Lawyer for more ideas. Maybe he should try ChatGPT Lawyer instead.

Councilperson Cunningham made some great remarks, including that COT complied too early.

Preaching to the choir…15 years in Arivaca and I finally had to get AC last year. Swamp cooler and smart temperature control used to be enough.

The PCC alert yesterday was about someone threatening self harm. This alerts aren’t always what one might think they are.

If you don’t measure/observe reality, then it doesn’t exist. Or, potentially, all variations exist. 🐈

By ā€œsimplifying the process,ā€ she means to disband the selection committee, which means reducing transparency and input.

Maria Felix is limited in her serving capacity because she was rejected by the selection committee a few years ago. Superior Court overrode that decision and brought her on in a limited capacity. They got their foot in the door and now they’re opening it wider.

Abby Jensen, a former County public defender (retired), receives a proclamation designating Monday, March 31, 2025, as "Transgender Day of Visibility in Pima County." She asks the County to do more to protected transgendered individuals, saying there is more work to be done. #PimaSupes

This was the conclusion of a sci fi I read in middle school. The final paragraph was about an alien race that was studying humans, and with a deep sense of sadness and sympathy, told the protagonist that the amazing thing about the human race is that there was only one. It blew my mind.

To illustrate my frustration, the discussion about the $2.7 million in additional funding for the sheriff's department was discussed in one minute. No questions, no substantive context. No mention they are projected to be over budget by millions of dollars in this fiscal cycle.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! In times like these we don’t get our Paws for Pause?! I would be feline if I said I’m not disappointed.

I like how this one (1) counter protester is carrying the Trump flag from 2020, an election he lost.

We were told today on a regulatory call that the EPA has been directed not to speak to anyone or attend any meetings. This is wild.

But we’ll still take tea with the incoming president, and sip it ever so nicely with pinkie lifted. Because, grasps pearls, we’re dignified. Meanwhile children stay at home from school, huddled in abject terror as their parents worry. And our trans friends feel their rights melt away.

It sounds childish (but that’s the world we live in right now), I think you hit the nail on the head. Vengeance, a hatred of Trudeau, and a narcissist’s need for control.

The oligarchs live in a disposable world with disposable spouses and disposable workers. They are today’s version of the new pharaoh destroying the temples and monuments to the old pharaoh.

Jealousy? šŸ˜… He says it’s about fentanyl crossing the border. I think he doesn’t care about that at all. I think he is a narcissist who needs control and wants revenge. Trudeau was not a fan of his, and I think he wants to make these nations beg. Hell hath no fury like a narcissist scorned.
comment in response to post
This is merely Trump’s predictable narcissistic need for control. Narcissists are compelled to control everything around them, and facts don’t matter. ā€˜Fentanyl crossing the border’ is just window dressing. He wants to throw his weight around and get all of the naysayers to bow. He wants revenge.

It’s heartbreaking. My husband is still with the Fed, and it’s nerve wracking. I’m glad we’re not both working there though. The Forest Service is an amazing organization, I can see why it’s his dream job! I was with Geological Survey, and we worked closely with them.

I’m hoping the same thing happens with other displaced Feds. 1,100 EPA workers were sent a threatening email yesterday, and I’d loooooove for one of them to apply to local jobs in their fields.
