I'm not either of those, but I do think one thing that matters is wording on headlines and teasers. Most (all) media outlets word headlines like "What's Not Working in US Economy," then go on to story about how things are great except one issue. People only read headlines.

The Trumpers will make sure there is a scapegoat that points away from them. The worse it gets, the more information will be muddied to make sure someone else gets the blame.
