"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Often attributed to Oscar Wilde, but most likely not said or written by him. Who would have thought an internet search could lead one astray?

I ruined the Proud Boys’ press conference 😂

I’ve said it before but it is embarrassing that so many intellectuals spent years in small factional battles over the propriety of calling this fascism.

exactly how shitty do you have to be for LAPD and LACSD to be like "nah y'all you're on your own"

EVERYBODY WATCH. ICE IS OUT OF CONTROL. Video of SEIU California’s President David Huerta getting assaulted & arrested during an ICE raid in the warehouse district of Downtown Los Angeles today. He’s an LA native, American citizen and labor leader. Don’t turn away.

From the people who won't raise the minimum wage:

The fascist feds think they targeted one man, but they don’t really understand what they’ve done www.latimes.com/california/s...

cats don't obey in advance and no one else should, either

At the ICE raid and subsequent community resistance in Paramount, California this morning, this skater kid ate dozens of munitions from Border Patrol agents, walked away slowly and flipped them off.

Some Democrats are Republicans.

In 1936, FDR closed out his re-election campaign by bragging to a massive crowd at Madison Square Garden that “organized money” hated him “and I welcome their hatred.” He took 60% of the vote in a 523-8 electoral college landslide. FDR knew having the right enemies could be a useful thing.

And the records will be fed into the Palatir Foundry database, vulnerable to hacking.

There seems to be a total news blackout on the continuing violent ICE raids in Los Angeles.

ICE is the January 6 insurrectionists all over again. Only instead of attacking law enforcement, they are pretending to *be* law enforcement. And instead of just terrorizing at the Capitol, they are doing it EVERYWHERE.

ICE isn’t rounding up migrants at Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ meatpacking plants. They're provoking riots in Los Angeles. I wonder, is this provocation laying the groundwork for a pretext to declare martial law? And then I remember all those many tanks shipped to DC, the home of so many protests.

They are trying to force Harvard to admit more conservative students. Pardon me, but that sounds an awful lot like DEI, only DEI for stupid people.

I’m officially running to be the Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee. These are not normal times—and this cannot be a business-as-usual moment. Read my full letter to my colleagues here: crockett.house.gov/media/press-...

HAWLEY: Let's see the Trump chart. You don't think it's a little bit anomalous that Trump has so many more nationwide injunctions against him? KATE SHAW: A very plausible explanation you have to consider is that he's engaged in much more lawless activity than other presidents

The woman who shouted "people will die" at Joni Ernst, India May, is a nurse and a librarian who first got involved in politics by going to a town hall about bills aiming to defund libraries. Now she's running for state house. eu.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/p...

Listen, all I’m saying is that we’ve seen more pictures of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein together than we have of Donald Trump and his son Barron.

Eventually, when all is said and done, we will realize that the United States owes Kamala Harris a presidency.

Law Professor @rgoodlaw.bsky.social catches DOJ in a contradiction in the Abrego Garcia case. A major one.

Wellman: When I served in Iraq.. I heard about how Saddam Hussein divided them. Different sects fought each other. But you know -- Saddam and his family sat laughing at all of them. They divided them against each other and kept their power for 35 years. Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Around the time that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was indicted in the Middle District of Tennessee, the chief of the criminal division in that district posted this on LinkedIn: “Earlier today, after nearly 15 years as an Assistant United States Attorney, I resigned…”

They’re not behaving as if they’re in a four-year term. They’re behaving as if they’re in an everlasting dictatorship. Are we all clear on this?

In an act of integrity and resistance, a supervisor in the Nashville federal prosecutor’s office resigned over how the Abrego Garcia case was being handled. The charges are bogus, pure political theater meant to justify a wrongful abduction.

The blowup between Elon and Trump hasn’t ended DOGE, it’s still expanding. Russ Vought now plans to institutionalize DOGE across the federal government, and Elon’s staffers are embedded deep within key agencies.

With the Supreme Court now handing DOGE access to Social Security data, it’s becoming undeniable, the Trump administration is building the “deep state” themselves. Don’t get distracted by the noise.

Living in the upside down. A person who tried to overthrow the government is getting a settlement. The Trump administration has agreed to pay $4.9 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the family of Ashli Babbitt, the woman shot while trying to breach the Speaker’s Lobby

Since the AG doesn't seem to be getting ethics guidance from her team these days, I wanted to make sure she has the rule in the Justice Manual in front of her, which expressly prohibits this.

Elite cybercriminal Olga Kuprina hacked the SEC, Citigroup and NASA. Now she's telling her story for the first time.

ICE is now a criminal enterprise in which American LE (*maybe*) are defying the constitution and SCOTUS. They’re also fucking LAZY evil. Their job is enforcing federal immigration & customs laws, and combating transnational crime. But now they simply mask up & swarm court houses for extra cash. 😡

Trump is counting on cowardly law firms that surrendered to him to provide pro bono representation of crooked cops. Justice, Republican style.

Rep Gabe Evans (R-CO) is asking Senate Republicans for help avoiding the clean energy cuts he voted for. #copolitics

💥 @repdangoldman.bsky.social speaks out about his confrontation with “plain-clothes ICE agents” wearing masks. “You can’t require Columbia University to ban masks in order to get federal funding while you turn around and have federal government enforcement law enforcement agents wearing masks.”

So metal.

Good for Mayor Wu. Speaking up for your vulnerable constituents is courageous leadership. Hope Maura Healey is taking notes.

There was a time when I, as a US citizen, was a legal resident of the UK… and I had to go check in at an immigration office every 6 months. I can’t imagine going there and getting arrested!!

NEW: Only three board members had the power to remove Richard L. Bean as superintendent of the Tennessee juvenile detention center that bears his name. And for decades, those positions have been held down by his closest friends and allies. With @wpln.bsky.social

The guy that has back doors into every government computer system is feuding with the guy that has the nuclear codes. What could possibly go wrong?

Dear journalists. When the US President is openly accused of paedophilia the story is either impeachment or defamation. If not, the story is how words have lost all meaning, truth has lost all value, and journalists are now completely desensitised to lying and corruption.

It seems the US president can now be accused of paedophilia, and the media report it like a tiff between two colourful egos. The heinous content of the accusation is just automatically assumed to be bullshit. This is where future historians will pronounce respect for truth dead and buried.
