The point is that the King (or Queen) is the Commander in Chief of the Canadian Military. That's the reason for the uniform and the speech in my view (maybe). When fascism takes over, they are the last line of defence.

I certainly do, which is why I am fighting hard for incumbent NDP candidates.

I watched her in a lot of things - she's a great actor. Agree 100%. I will not click on it.

2/Losing this massive infrastructure will have a devastating economic impact and set back thousands of people's skills and career development. If big corps can get subsidies and tax breaks for jobs, why not these folks? So short-sighted from the folks who say they are good at economics.

There is no way this will happen unless we get an NDP with the balance of power AND they make the condition upon which they will continue to cooperate.

Sure, it's mind-boggling how they can't find good people to sign up, suspend their lives and income (who can afford that?), spend a shit-ton of money, take a bunch of abuse, and have no chance of winning. Confusing.

/2 NEVER do any of the following: break up monopolies, stop privatising medicare, busting unions, work with Indigenous folks in a real way, actually make Canada stronger rather than ripping and shipping our resources and calling it good for us. It's fucking insane.

That's one take. Despite materially benefiting people's lives, people are ready to just chuck them for...the Greens? For the Liberals? Punishment for getting things done in a world of realpolitik. Yeah, we are dumb, and we are going to once again get stuck with a majority small c conservative that/1

Yes, wherever there are incumbent NDP who ran where the liberals were weak, we need to be voting for them. In my riding, this is the case. It goes blue or orange. National polls are useless in this.

Break up monopolies in the grocery sector, any sector. Build subsidised housing. Increase disability payments. Cover dental and pharmaceuticals. Increase funding to get more people into the trades, including building a culture of apprenticeships. Protect small farms. GAIN for artists.

We need a strong NDP - anywhere that it looks like the vote is splitting, vote for the one that has the best chance to win. Incumbents, popular candidates.

Hey @gavinnewsom.bsky.social the way to handle this discovery is you DON'T interview the type of person turning said sons into fascists & incels. Then you CERTAINLY don't throw the most vulnerable of the lgbtq community under the bus as some misguided olive branch. #EndRant

I sometimes think about mandatory service, but in my world, it would not be the military. We should always have a volunteer service only, particularly for combat. When life is on the line, people must be free to choose. We mostly managed this through the wars.

Pretty sure he does what he does for the attention. That's why it is short, alliterative, and repetitive, with no substance, other than to leverage the culture wars or fight the carbon tax, and is school-ground garbage.
