How many tarps does it take to protect a home from a hurricane? Can you wrap it tightly enough so that the roof doesn’t fly off and the ground floor doesn’t flood? Or is it mostly luck & rigorous building codes that make a difference?

How much water does it take to protect one home from 100mph winds? Can you get it there in the 5 minutes it takes for a house to be completely engulfed?

Marley refers to their “money-changing hole”. And when Scrooge asked for some emotion connected to his death, it was a young couple guilty with relief that they would be dealing with a new creditor.
Whatever else Scrooge was doing, he was making very sharp deals with money-lending.
