Big & Beautiful” never looked so “Low & Ugly!” Buried in the bill…capping loan amounts for students and parents, eliminate graduate plus loans, remove $0 payments for those who don’t earn enough to pay on their loans. 1/2… civicshout.com/p/tell-senat...

*Biden tries to forgive student loans* SCOTUS: Whoa there, that is, uh, a major question. Which means you can't do it. *Trump revokes part of the constitution* SCOTUS: Obviously, we got to give the President the benefit of the doubt on this one.

#nowspinning Freedom of Choice by Devo (1980), Warner Brothers. The rhythm section in "Ton O'Luv" is really matching the mood and sounds of wind and rain hitting our roof right now. Loving the operatic vocal runs. Bought this album at an antiques store in Spokane, WA in the early 2000s. #vinyl

Our accidental patch of white prickly poppies is putting on quite the show next to our deck. We’ve been encouraging this plant to reseed annually because their seeds are a favorite of the scaled quail, which are also abundant on our acreage. #nativeplants #wildflowers

#nowspinning Latin ala Lee! (1960) by Peggy Lee with arrangement by Jack Marshall's orchestra. Martin Schwartz won the 1959 Grammy for Best Album Cover. One of my all-time favorite lounge albums. In each track, Lee's sultry voice blends with a flute section and four Afro-Cuban drummers. #vinyl

June in northern New Mexico is peak prickly pear prettiness. #nativeplants

Picture this moment from 1994: Some lucky person snagged this cat-shaped toilet brush holder from the Spiegel 1994 Fall/Winter catalog ON SALE for $29.90. The joy this person felt in acquiring the pièce de résistance for their ruffle-themed bathroom. Pic from my catalog collection. #caturday

On Tuesday, Gabe Vasquez rallied at OMDP alongside conservationists and local leaders. The message was clear: our public lands are not for sale.

Organizers announced a headcount of more than 1,500 at our peaceful #nokings protest today lining the road in Taos. Lots of cars honking in solidarity as they drove by, many waving their own flags.

Padilla: If this is how DHS responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California.
