No, they are communicating with the pilot through the fiber cable. It is the same with modern torpedoes; they drop a cable unit with two rolls of fibre cables upon firing (one leads back to the firing vessel while the other goes to the torpedo).

It's time for a united Europe to stay strong and take charge of its own destiny without relying on the US. We need to focus on our own defence industry instead of buying american products in cooperation with Ukraine. If the US becomes an obstacle for our security we need a NATO solution without them

Because Russia is about to go bankrupt with extreme inflation and a collapsing exchange rate, and they are loosing military equipment ten times faster than they can produce it. Russia will not be a superpower when this war is over, but Ukraine will.

They probably still have their russian citizenship, so it is not as if they become stateless which would be a violation to UN civil rights.

Finland was already member of the European Union, and the Lisbon treaty states that if an EU country is attacked by a foreign power then all EU countries shall support it by all means. That is a stronger writing than in NATO's article 5. Most EU countries are also NATO members.
