Break out the steamer and alcohol wipes for those

It's definitely a struggle because you can keep a healthy lead for most of it then get blue shelled like twice in less than a minute. Feels worse for a single 10+ minute race

That's honestly why anyone who's able to should have a Costco membership. Easily pays for itself after a few days trips

Always found I great that the Goers kinda suck and the Psyches are by far the best rival team

That would be amazing

I'd also hope that the progression is ratcheted down to provide enough content for a chunky alpha as opposed to being accurate to the end product. All in all, I enjoyed the alpha but it very much is an exercise stapling on things I liked while sanding away things I *loved*

I have faith that the enemy AI is something that will be ironed out because I felt that as well. I also think/hope it's early enough that they're legitimately collecting feedback because I do think gating weapons behind the two modes is conceptually interesting but doesn't hold up to scrutiny

I just want a God of War 3-style game that involves Jack beating the shit out of the FF villains for essentially personal reasons.
Thinks Exdeath is too cocky.
Doesn't think Kefka is funny.
Doesn't like Sephiroth's superiority complex.
Likes Jecht but knows he's gotten be stopped. It'd be neat

SoP is clearly meant to be more accessible and immediately fun to a wider audience, until the DLC, whereas Nioh is pretty upfront about being for a passionate, "masocore" playerbase. I think Nioh 3, with all its taken from previous TN games, has the potential to be the goldilocks just right game.

I'm so mad, I just finished the Alpha this weekend and didn't realize that until I was most of the way through.
What were your thoughts on it?

Hate looking at these balance sheets when what I'm really tryna do is balance my equip weight to avoid the fatty dodge

I remember the ippon datara summon being great for shutting them down

Probably! Letting you clear impurity as a ninja eventually implies that too, but I think it's smart of them to make you build up that familiarity with both styles's advantages and not just instantly stagnate into what you prefer, you know?

Absolutely and I think that's precisely what the breaking red moves mechanic tries to teach you. I think I overall prefer ninja for the movement and hit and run quality but I enjoy and use both. Also some seem to hate it but I think gating weapons behind either of the classes is really smart

Yeah I had to take a couple whacks at it. Ended up winning by popping the devil trigger when she was at half health and trying to hit her exclusively from behind. The kodama summon for bonus elixirs didn't hurt either.

BL1 Pandora has a great vibe. It's dusty and quiet outside of gunfights and cutscenes which is the kind of vibe I think works for this kind of game.
Agreed on the humor too. It's much drier and NPCs in 1 never overstay their welcome which is much more to my liking

I aporeciate 2&3's gameplay but BL1 is honestly still my favorite because the tone of the world doesn't make me want to turn my TV off.

Japanese RPG in general elicit such a hateful response in people, it's honestly kind of sad. My brother made fun of me back in the day for playing it but imagine not opening your heart to FFX because of Tidus's outfit. Couldn't ever be me

I went back to finally finish the chalices and get the platinum last week and ended up starting a ng+1 🫣
Went from a kit that let me clear out dungeons easy to gear I'd hardly touched before and it's a crime how good everything in this game feels. There's really no "wrong" choices

Just finished it yesterday. They're so confident and capable in what they're doing with this game, it's great

I want to believe. Stranger of Paradise with Nioh 3's open field structure would be so good
