American ed funding comes from varied sources: tuition, earnings, small private donors, large individual donors, institutions (both secular & religious) & governmental funds. There is some balance. If a handful of billionaires dominate, so do their interests. Gov’t funds counterweigh them.

if you propose “requiring” someone to ante up $10 million a week in a vague, dumb way, to fund research institutions that play a critical role in this country’s educational and economic success, don’t be surprised someone actually calls it dumb.

His accreditation? He is not the university. He comes, he goes. Hopefully, the university goes on doing its work, regardless.

“Subsidizing” makes it sound petty, but we’re talking about research to cure diseases, make scientific advances, explore social problems, analyze the causes behind recessions and improve financial systems, etc. Billionaires pay their fair share? We know how well that’s going.

I agree with that choice on free trade vs Trump trade. Also, people are learning more about it. As trade became more open and predictable, it became less interesting to the media. Now it is getting attention.

It has happened every single time I have queried ChatGpt. When I call it out, the AI apologizes for it and may explain why it does it but only when really pressed, say on my second or third complaint about its methodology. It will not express its limitations, fabrications until absolutely cornered

Not only am I offended, it is clear message that we could be next in line for persecution. Roe v. Wade fell, so guess who isn’t needed anymore? And that prolife stance gets really inconvenient when it extends to the death penalty or to standing up for refugees and immigrants.

NJ was an epicenter. My kids’ teachers worked to master zoom, get creative w/ cooking, experiments, drop off paperwork, comfort kids afraid or mourning. It took time to balance hvac systems hep filters w/o losing circulation, get supplies to keep immunocompromised safe. Amnesia is setting in.

They did control for bmi and still found a trend but they need to replicate studies, rule out environmental factors and compensate for the fact that different tests were used to measure testosterone, which might give slightly different outcomes.

The difficulty is the average maga will tell you Nike is lying and inflating the costs and they really make plenty and could absorb it. Even when they feel the pain of this, they will blame anyone and everyone but Trump.

Personally I’d decrease future contributions, you may need the liquidity in the near future. I would not sell though, I’d ride it out to the midterms when hopefully the craziness finally hits a wall of opposition.
