I suppose it’s the true rationale. “Look universities are chock full of libs and we’re out to get our political enemies.”

To be fair, people should spend more time asking JD Vance why he called Trump America’s Hitler

The decision to run for reelection was a governance failure. Surely part of the job of President in 2023-24 was to shield the country from Trump’s return. Biden’s decision to run again when he obviously couldn’t do the job for another four years contributed to Trump’s win

Half the country lived under nearly unmitigated fascism from the founding through the mid-20th century. Yes, even in ways that the Constitution specifically forbade, even after the Reconstruction Amendments. Yes, it absolutely can happen again. We are not special.

All done under the guise of a “national emergency” that apparently requires the President not act with any particular urgency or direction, but just to do whatever nonsense thing he feels like on a given day

Obviously military culture can change, and Trump and Hegseth want it to. But the last time Trump suggested the military shoot domestic protestors, they didn’t do it
comment in response to post
I don’t think most people who enlist in the military do it because they want to spend their time putting down domestic peaceful protestors

They think the people who work for them are NPCs! I feel like a lot of Marines are going to think it’s bullshit that they were called in as a show of force against domestic peaceful protestors. Are Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth really prepared to deal with any internal backlash to this?
comment in response to post
I’ve got to think a lot of Marines are going to feel disrespected by this administration, calling them in to show force to this group of peaceful protestors

Wait you tell me this now?? All that time I spent digging through pudding looking for the proof was just a waste?? 😭😭

Definitely skeptical of the charges. At the same time, getting him out of CECOT and into the US court system where the government will have to prove its case is a win
