lmao! "...most famous person we've had on the podcast as of late." Your response is perfect. And with that, I watch/listen to the rest of the episode....

Haha, that sounds so random! Another reason I don't want to be famous. "I'm on vacation! Get away from me!" 😆

It may be distributed by Disney, but it's not MADE by Disney. It's made by passionate artists who put all of themselves into each frame. Everything is so delicate, in both fragile and daring ways. A rare gem we'll likely not see again for a looong time, in that galaxy far, far away...

I'll stick around for David Boyd's episodes. He might actually introduce some creativity to each scene.
I also understand there are many other factors at play, especially for a tv series episode director. Here's hoping Boyd can find that beautiful middle ground.

Daredevil (2015) set the bar moderately high, and Born Again is not hitting that bar for me.

And how White Tiger is ended?? Like... that's a joke, right? That's not really how it happens... RIGHT!? What an utter disappointment in the writing.
The only scene that felt like Daredevil (2015) was the apartment fight between Matt & the 2 cops... (great stunt work) even then, it could be better.

Some of the decisions on how to reveal important details on the screen feels lazy and spoon fed. Too much expositional dialog. Like nothing was workshopped before getting in front of the camera. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to edit something like that.

So many scenes where I can see how different blocking would elevate the characters, but each scene falls flat with the use of traditional shooting. Some of of the scenes have shots that in no way add anything to the scene.

There's so little set up between the characters it's hard to care for any of them. Even Murdock. Because so many events go by so fast it speeds past pivotal story-telling moments, then compensates with more dialog. It makes it feel like a CW show...

There is WAY too much going on here to pinpoint just one thing. 🤣

Doesn't change their privacy policy... but then again, I've avoided posting my art there for that reason. Still only there for No Man's Sky, really. So, if you need to narrow the focus over there, like me, hopefully this does the trick. 😊
