Des documents obtenus en exclusivité montrent que le député libéral, Anthony Housefather, a fait pression directement sur McGill, demandant aux administrateurs de stopper des manifestations pro-Palestine, appelant même à l'intervention de la police. 🧵

This needs to be clearly addressed. #Canadians voted in an #election that was robust, fair and decisive. Canadians from every province and territory voted in huge numbers, broke #advancedpolls #voting records and clearly stated their support or lack of it for candidates. #cdnpoli #LiberalParty

Registries for marginalized people like autistics are Eugenics 101. For those who missed it, in RFK Jr.'s autism study, "a new disease registry is being launched to track Americans with autism, which will be integrated into the data." www.cbsnews.com/news/rfk-jr-...

Contente de voir ces trois anciennes députées, issues de trois partis politiques, dénoncer collectivement le discours codé sur la laïcité que nous ressert encore une fois le ministre de l'Éducation.

Trump administration’s pressure on universities echoes past authoritarian efforts in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Over 50 schools face federal probes for alleged discrimination. A comparative and international education expert explains: buff.ly/Qzw1SK5 @isilova.bsky.social, Arizona State 🗃️

“Nietzsche teaches us that nihilism can give way to new values, for better or worse,” writes Sasha Mudd. Trumpism is not one man’s chaos, but a project to remake America based on the value of submission to authority. www.prospectmagazine...

So Donald Trump tells us he doesn't like Pierre Poilievre. Lol. The MAGA team know that a Trump endorsement is a political death wish. Poor Pierre. He's their boy and has no respect. Don't get fooled. He is their favourite sock puppet.

So many opportunities to manage the pandemic more effectively were missed because no one wanted to openly accept and address the fact that it is indeed airborne. That, coupled with a stubborn determination to prioritize the individual over the herd.

This is, of course, accurate. It was never about fentanyl, the idea is absurd. I just wish people were saying the quiet part out loud. It's not difficult. It's being said in bits and pieces here and there, but I rarely see the basics set out in logical order. So, for the record...

What Jeff said. 🍁

“My vote doesn’t matter.” In 2022, 56.5% of Ontarians didn’t vote. Doug Ford won a majority because 18% of Ontarians voted PC. “I don’t know what the issues are.” Talk to people you trust to find out. “It doesn’t matter who wins.” It matters very much to someone you care about. #OnPoli

OPINION: Malcolm X understood something painfully relevant today: The American empire does not just oppress — it manipulates. It does not just colonize — it gaslights.

At the risk of stating the obvious:

Canada would do well to take a similar approach.

Refugees have launched shops, mobile phone charging stations – even cinemas.

It's time to push back and forge our own path rather than following our southerly neighbours on the road to chaos.

The Liberals are ahead of the Conservatives federally in both Ontario and Quebec (and in some polling in Atlantic Canada). These regions combined have the most seats by far. #cdnpoli #peipoli

Today we launched the Pledge for Canada. We have voices from across the political, cultural, labour, Indigenous spectrum. We are building a movement to maintain pressure on our leaders not to sell out our nation or our values. Please sign and join the movement. engagement-canada-pledge.ca

'Just shedding my snake skin': Retiring MP Charlie Angus is Canada's brashest voice against Trump. Wonderful profile of @charlieangus104.bsky.social here 👇 www.nationalobserver.com/2025/01/28/n...

"Making the government deficit marginally smaller won’t build any affordable housing units... Cutting taxes on capital gains for the wealthiest won’t make the cost of living cheaper for Canadians... Taking action on climate change isn’t 'directly responsible for food bank usage'"

One of @thenation.com's new interns, Lazo Gitchos, is also an experienced wildland firefighter—and he's written this brilliant piece about how, in the wake of the horrors in Los Angeles, everything about the way we fight wildfires has to change. Please read! www.thenation.com/article/envi...

While the gangster regime from Mar-a-Lago is focused on threatening Canada, our military is on all readiness to help out people in Los Angeles. It's how we roll as a nation. #mapleleafforever #strongasfuck www.ctvnews.ca/world/canadi...

So Justin Trudeau has finally entered his "Charlie Angus phase" in standing up to the predator from Mar-a-Lago. The fact is, Justin wears a suit way better than me. But I opened for the Dead Kennedy's and the Violent Femmes. If he wants lessons in fighting Trump, I'll take him under my wing.

There’s a concerning trend emerging in Canada and the United States when it comes to vaccine hesitancy. Amidst shifting political winds, we consider seven once common, now preventable diseases.
