Ahh, disabled people and their mothers... Books need to be written about that relationship. Sorry I don't have great advice, but sometimes it's about trusting yourself more than you trust your mother, because she is and always has been in "protec mode" towards you. Don't let her make you less.

I even get the "nuisance" thing on a personal level. I am woefully celibate and my libido can't get out in a healthy way, except art. Sometimes I meet someone and I'm overwhelmed by their attractiveness, which sucks for both.

I'm curious about how you reconcile being an ace artist and having this view. I'm so horny I really have trouble conceptualizing asexuality, and yes, my horniness is directly tied to my artistry. But I understand drive and passion can be not tied to sex.

I think we're the same. If you look at what I've posted so far, you'll see I can't settle down on one medium, on one technique, but you can still see there's a coherence.
