… because of the economy. I wonder how they’ll react when tariffs increase prices.
I think our news media pushed Biden inflation/bad economy stories without providing the context that *the US was doing better than any European countries*.
Add that to misunderstanding of immigration. Disaster.

… Now he’s shocked Trump is deporting his friends that work construction. He also knows farm laborers that are afraid to turn up for work.
So I’m sensing Latino voters that supported Trump are having buyers remorse.
Then there are young guys (I’m in my 70s) that voted for Trump …

Anecdotal - but in our discussions with our gardener (born in Mexico). Prior to the election he was upset with Biden for letting Venezuelans in on amnesty. Those Venezuelans got $1000/month housing assistance. He was pissed - why didn’t he get assistance? …

*Healthcare crisis in rural America due to reduced Medicaid funding
*shutting down FEMA during hurricane season
*40% of agricultural workers are undocumented- how will that impact rural America?
*interest rates as Treasuries are downgraded by Moody

Just wait until the National Guard is called out by Trump to prevent local authorities from administering the midterm elections. Sigh - I’m not optimistic

A coworker was riding the metro in Paris. Same thing - she grabbed the guy’s hand held it up and in perfect French yelled “Somebody lose this? I found it crawling up my ass.”
She’s Vietnamese and survived the war - fluent in French and no one to mess with.

I’m reading a historical fiction book - part of which takes place during the Spanish Inquisition. This stuff is reminding me of the arbitrariness the Inquisition censors determining which Jewish books deserved to be burnt - and which were ok.
