“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” — Frank Wilhoit

Probably a fool's errand, but all non-profits don't pay taxes. The scandal, which is mostly unknown, is that religious workers don't pay taxes on their housing, which is unconstitutional.

"I'm going to murder your kids. If I set you free, will you try and stop me? I will regard your refusal to answer as a 'yes'".
A clear example of a faulty categorical imperative. If everyone lies to an armed intruder, no armed intruder will ever succeed in harming innocents.
Context is vital.

I'll do that. Meanwhile, it may or may not be possible to know what absolutes there are, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
I think equality and compassion are pretty close, for example. We cannot model them perfectly, let alone embody them perfectly, but we can and must strive towards them.
