I'm at 1169 km (67%), a few hours ago I passed into Scotland. Now I have to remember to whomever I can understand say "Whaddya ya want, you f*ckin Brit", a new experience entirely. Have to be careful with that as I don't know how many Scots are fluent in British.

Now at 1123 km (64%), going nice but the grinding is setting in, I reckon that feeling goes on until I get to Longtown the day after tomorrow. Still getting passed 1300 km is a new world record for me.

Today I celebrate the fact that I just passed the 60% marker in my lands end to John o Grady walk. I am now at 1054 km and 353 km ahead of schedule. Not bad for a simple walker.

Now at 951 km (54%), Yorkshire Dales National Park is bigger than I thought it would be. Not fretting. I thought Sherwood Forest was big. Compared to this it is a mere meadow. Grinding along till I get to Scotland.

873 km, halfway now. Just passed a national park. I can confirm that these trees do not grow union jacks. To the left on the other side of the forest is Manchester, so I'll give that a miss.

800 km (45%), in the middle of Sherwood Forest. Tea at the sheriff was great, the scones weren't but the raspberry jam was legend. Take life with the food and the bad.

I made it to Nottingham 765 km (43%) on day 35. Time for a cuppa tea at the sheriff's house. I think he can spare that and I assume it comes with scones and raspberry jam. Almost half way in the journey.
