Hahahaa! Absolutely! And “National Brotherhood Week” unfortunately rings as true today as ever.

Some of it is now dated but still hilarious. I can’t even name a favorite, altho’ “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” is certainly at the top of my list!

His LPs were a fixture in our home. My parents adored his humor and, listening to it as a now-70 year old, I finally understand ALL of it, not just the obvious stuff. I pray he’s living his best life! He brought us so much happiness and laughter!

Truly? That’s wonderful! I didn’t look him up — just went from memory. Guess I assumed since he was an adult when I was a teen, he was “the late great.” Thanks for the correction!

That’s “STATE Liberty bells.

America 250 has been in the planning stages for over a year. Parades, Sarah Liberty bells, educational programs have all been part of the planning. This specific date for the parade on DC intended to honor the US Army’s birthday on 6.14.1775.

I’m in Philly area and I don’t see that. Each state has its own 250 committee and I’m focusing on PA, my state.

The parade itself isn’t the problem. What he’s turned it into is most definitely disgusting.

Perhaps but I refuse to give him the satisfaction of not celebrating our history. He’ll not take my pride in being an American from me.

America 250 has nothing to do with the current administration, despite what he says. It’s a nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and events are scheduled nationwide across next year. He wants to claim it but it ain’t his: work started years ago on it.

Just sent this to The Chef for comment. I suspect we’ll talking about this over our much more attractive and flavorful dinner tonight!

Maybe tomorrow. I just can’t right now. I mean, thank you so much for recording this podcast and I’m certain it will be sadly joyful but for me, I just can’t yet.

This story has haunted me since I first read it years ago. I was the same age as his daughter in 1962 and the measles vaccine wasn’t available until 1963. My siblings and I were simply lucky and his daughter was unlucky. And now many more children will be at risk of being “unlucky.” Tragic.

I’m not a cabinet Secretary but if I’m having dinner at a restaurant with my passport, government ID, passport, blank checks, phone, AND $3000 in cash in my bag, it’s sitting on my lap beneath my napkin the entire dinner! What a farce.

Did he add “And I’m not expecting to hear from the President any time soon”?

So not a national security issue then. Just a financial transaction. Huh. Hope this makes its way to the Court.

I’m looking at all my subscriptions, asking “Is there value in this? Do I learn anything? Is it intelligent and make me think, especially when I disagree?” If the answer is “No”, I’m cancelling. Bulwark + consistently earns a strong and heartfelt “YES!” to each of those questions.

If I may ask: when was the diagnosis? I know how fortunate I am to have only suffered 70% kidney damage and lung damage in the 6 months it took to get the diagnosis. I’m so glad to know his/her quality of life is good following the transplant! Please send my best!

Rituximab over here for Gramulomatosis with Polyangitis. Without an infusion every 6 months, my kidneys will fail and my lungs will scar beyond use. So yeah: NIH researchers’ work has saved my life for the past 15 years.

Yep. I thought it was just my Dad but when we visited his family, my Uncles and cousins did the same thing. So obviously a remnant from The Old Country.

In my half Irish family, we were taught to always go out the same door you went in or the troublesome spirits would take advantage of it and enter the home. So your dog is clearly aware of that rule.

THIS is THE issue for the Attorney General of the United States? Paper straws?? Really? How completely pathetic.

This was SO much my Grandfather. A retired engineer with Alcoa. We would go for walks and had to stop at every construction so he could ask “Hey Bud, whatcha building here?” By the end of the first week, everyone on the site knew Zeke and he knew all of them. It was like Cheers: “Zeke’s here!”

Too little, too late from someone I worked to help elect. I say Kenyatta should primary him — and I’ll work for Kenyatta this time!

Seriously, folks. Every damn day is now “Shut the F**k Up Friday.” And for those new to protesting in large crowds: trust no one. Don’t rinse tear gassed eyes with water: use milk. Have someone off site who will be available and have the $ for your bail.
