i think this is the key question right now. Transcription in Notes currently isn't bad, but when requests are made via Siri, it's absolutely atrocious. I guess this is part of the entire Siri rewrite story
Thanks for running these tests btw John

Thought I'd spent enough time in the ambient trenches, so went and dusted off my folders of kick drums for a bit of fun. Huge remix by the legend himself, @ldldn.bsky.social too!

Holy shit. Readwise Reader is INCREDIBLE
Ive been looking for a page reader for a while - listen to a long web article while working etc - and this is it. WOW

People rave about it but been put off by the cost tbh. I'm up to my eyeballs in subcriptions! Lemme take another look!

Ah, now, Ive been meaning to check their podcast capability, so thanks for that tipoff. My plan was to buy a Google Workspace plan (12) and use notebookLM + gemini pro via that but may have to rethink. The less google in my life the better tbh

I'm seriously considering investing in NotebookLM as I've belatedly released I learn better by listening (audio books). Will take a deeper look at ChatGPY projects tho! Thx

Good Q. 3 main aims. 1) A repo for knowledge that I can query using AI. 2) A hub for notes of all kinds, inc meeting notes, that links to my task mgr (Apple Reminders), 3) a place to author notes and sometimes publish to web. Reflect does much of that but the founder has some interesting views..

May take another look at Tana but sceptical about their long term vision / portability. Anytype really caught my attention but they're just not shipping features at a rate that inspires confidence.
Not much in the Apple annoucements yesterday in terms of improving Notes apart from Markdown export

I really want to jive with capacities, but the inability to talk with your notes is a little bit of a deal breaker. I don't want to touch Notion because it seems like a big pain in the arse.

Gonna investigate ASAP. BTW... whats your note tool of choice? I've tried to jive with Obsidian but its too janky on mobile. Might go Bear

I just requested a refund for Pastepal which I bought a month ago, and Raycast? Find it bloated. Lemme give Alfred another look.
My memory for shortcuts is terrible tho!
