The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle. Don't give them one. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.

Trump Regime is rejecting every lawful action dictated by US Constitution. Rejecting rights of citizens, rule of law, due process and state's rights. And now moving to unleash military operations against citizens. Media is complicit. GOP senators and congress are complicit. THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

LOS ANGELES: Stay off the streets tonight. Stay home. Stay safe. Tom Homan says the National Guard might be deployed — and I’m telling you, he wants violence. They’re baiting us to react so they can escalate. Rule #1: Never protest at night. That’s when the worst happens—under cover of darkness.

I worked for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in our country’s most populous state and here’s the thing: if enough of us decided we had had it with this Nazi bullshit, they would not be able to contain it San Diego PD, Sheriff and CHP combined have maybe 6,000 cops for 3 million people

The United States Government has turned against its citizens. Under the ruse of "deportation", Trump's ICE agents are actively disrupting communities, harming families and using violence against those who protest. This is Trump's America. Cruel, soulless and dangerous -supported fully by the GOP.

Really starting to hope this vengeful God who hates liars is every bit as real as these supposed Christians say He is because I'm sure He would like a word with... all of them - from the putrid excuse of a human in the White House to the prim and proper hypocrite warming the pews on Sunday morning.

It sure took them a long time to come up with fake charges for a guy they accidentally deported in the first place. Not even pretending to be plausible.

So then Elon goes "Kill the Bill!" and Trump goes "Elon has TDS!" so Elon goes "I'm the reason Trump won!" so Trump goes "we waste billions on Elon!" so Elon goes "Epstein!" and a corpulent flunkie goes "Deport Elon!" and Elon goes "Impeach!" And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.

i'm starting to see some scoldy posts pointing out that we are laughing about a fire on the deck of our sinking ship and i have to be honest once the ship started sinking i decided i would take the laughs where i found them

Can Trump really deport Musk, though? Wouldn't doing so be admitting he let an "illegal alien" into our highest levels of government to infiltrate, steal and wreak havoc? That would be... impeachable.

Honestly, I hope Trump negates all of Elons contracts w/ the government, deports him and the Elon releases all the confidential info he stole while frolicking through government spaces. And, also discloses, with receipts, how he helped steal the 2024 election.

Summing up America for the rest of the world: A bunch of petty adults who act like children elected a petty criminal who acts like a child who installed a petty dork who acts like a child and now, collectively, we're watching it all burn down.

Oh.

Trump is so petty, he can't help himself. Just wait until Elon starts losing government contracts b/c of Trump's revenge gene since Elon's speaking out against the big, beautiful dumpster fire bill. And with ketamine boy's equal vengeance streak, we might hear more about the magical election sweep.

Just knowing all nations are taking note that Ukraine's recent success was partly because they left the US out of the picture completely is ... a sweet undertone in the Trump reign of ignorance.

I don't care if the "Big, beautiful bill" (cough) flat out has Trump's minions going door to door dropping eleventy billion dollar checks into every household's hands (believe me, it doesn't) - the second it gives absolute power to ignore the judiciary (it does) that's a death knell to us all. Pass!

I think it's naive to believe putting the 10 commandments in school is suddenly going to bring Jesus into the classroom. At the end of the day, it's just a plaque with words. The same people feigning Christianity will still be moved by cruelty. What's on the wall changes nothing.

Spent $138 at the grocery store today, primarily fruits and vegetables - but a few other staples, too, and if anyone complains about the upcoming meals, I'm simply going to say, "Shut up and eat your tariffs!"

one thing that sucks about being american rn is that the helplessness you feel is probably at least in part a product of how much you've been conditioned to believe in the supreme value of individual acts when collective action is our only way out of all of this

I think it's bizarre that were dismantling democracy levels into the Trump presidency, and CNN's focus is Joe Biden. If ever there were a bastion of journalist integrity, CNN isn't it.

Read a headline from CNN that said, "Trump faces challenges that put his credibility on the line" and I laughed and laughed and laughed. Trump has no credibility. And neither does CNN.

That’s why you’re still here.

Media is latching on to some corny story about Comey while Republicans in Congress are full on let's "86 American's healthcare, protections and rights... and even their lives." Where's the outrage on this?

I think it sucks that Malcom Kenyatta is potentially going to pay the consequences of David Hogg being incapable of understanding coalitions and unwilling to broaden his view.

I'd like to know what, exactly, the vetting process entailed for the Afrikaners who are being fast tracked to citizenship in the US.

Calling Afrikaners refugees is really out there. I guess their oppressors were really fattening them up for the cookout? In all honesty, though, wonder how much better off they'll find themselves here in America - where minimum wage does little to keep a roof over your head and your belly fed.

David Hogg is naive and has a lot to learn. I'm not going to crucify the guy, but... he certainly sees through a very limited lens. Hopefully time and experience will broaden his view.

Personally, since GOP is all in on Trump taking bribes, I say the first thing we do is take that free luxury jet, sell it and disperse the proceeds to feed the hungry and whatnot.

Who exactly are these white Afrikaners being fast tracked into our American system while those in dire need from true danger are being turned away? What do we know about them?

Had no idea so many Republicans dream as child was, "When I grow up, I want to be a rubber stamp for a moron."

If I attempt to drown someone, then opt to resuscitate them, that doesn't make me a hero. I still attempted to drown them. I created the need for resuscitation. It would still be a crime.

I don't understand how paying people $1000 dollars to self deport is a win when they pour far more into our system through taxation that they can't file a return on if they stay. But, you know, I never learned MAGA math.

So, the lesson kids, is start drinking early and often and you, too, can hold a lofty position in the Trump circus.

Are we sure Trump isn't a slobbering drunk b/c he sure has a thing for appointing them.

With the first American ever to become Pope - one who is socially progressive in areas while we are also saddled with a derelict, reckless President who wants to be king, it kinda seems like the world is trying to tell us something. Maybe we should listen...

You mean to tell me that Chicago gets to claim Michael Jordan, the first Black President AND the first American Pope? Good lord you ain't going to be able to tell them NOTHING.

Governor Stitt vetoing a breast cancer screening bill for those at high risk which overwhelmingly passed by OK lawmakers because potential increased premiums are more detrimental than, I dunno... DEATH, is the most Republican thing ever.

Can OK St. Senator Dusty Deevers' wife give him some attention in the sack so the guy can quit obsessing over other people's marriages? Honestly, get over yourself Deevers. Far as I know, in my 8 years of marriage, it hasn't impacted you one bit, yet here you are sticking your nose in it. Creepy.
