I’m not sure. I’ll ask Fred? I think that’s higher than Franche Comte but slightly hard to tell!

But inside the mags we are addressing domestic violence, the stories behind the post office scandal, NHS failings, mesh surgery and similar medical scandals, etc. We’re not shameless careerists. There is no fucking career any more - we are trying to earn a living and tell stories LIKE YOU DO TOO.

In this country. If you work on women’s weeklies you deal with all sorts of snobbery from the “establishment” but hundreds of talented women - from all backgrounds - crack on every week producing content that women - from all backgrounds - want to read. People might turn their noses up at our covers

I can’t argue against your first two claims when it comes to me - I am privileged and posh but I will leave others to judge the amoral or stupid. But I know that in women’s magazines - my area - I hired a wide variety of journos from all backgrounds. Newspapers are not the only form of journalism…

Absolutely! Mescal is the weak link I think but everyone else is enjoying themselves. Of course the comfy sofa and bottle or sparkling rosé at the Everyman probably helped!

Wow that’s amazing. I think I am more nervous as I was bitten by a dog when I went off on my gap year travels and had to have a full course of rabies injections. I’ve made her have the rabies jabs…!

Good to hear thank you. I don’t think it was on their list of places to go. (Vang Vieng that is).

I’d forgotten how awful it was, and that she was the one to bring him down in the end

Yes! I have been moaning about this. It’s becoming really hard to search for old stories. Which I have to do all the time. Sad not to have access to the old online cuttings library at the express any more when you could find anything you wanted.
