the "Seattle Sound"? Soundgarden and Alice in Chains were my favorites; Stone Temple Pilots has some bangers; Nirvana is the patron saint; and Pearl Jam I never liked

also, even though the movie version of The Wall leaves out Hey You, it ads in so much that it is better than the album.

The Doors were more of a singles band who put together a bunch of songs into an album release, while Pink Floyd were more focused on the album as a whole, where individual songs flow into each other and create an experience you can't get from listening to random selections

The Doors: the self-titled first album and Morrison Hotel, otherwise you can get away with just the greatest hits double album

and if any of you wanna check those out: any Pink Folyd album between Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall is worth your time, so 69 - 79; the previous stuff is a little too jam band for my taste and Division Bell is missing something without Waters

Shirow has also stated he prefers his work to be mirrored, for western readers - he doesn't like how reading flow is interrupted by reading panels right to left, but the words left to right; he would redraw panels for the translations even

yeah, Japanese comics weren't really being translated until the late 80s and Dark Horse was one of the big ones doing it. Shirow's first published work, Black Magic 66, was done in the 70s but the English version was 1990

I worked at a 100 year old law firm, so there were so many cool, vintage ashtrays. I took one of the big glass ones and use it to hold small misc items like screws

The man who led insurrectionists to ransack the capital building on Jan 6th is literally equating a largely peaceful protest with an active rebellion against the United States—as justification to bypass Government Newsom and directly mobilize the armed forces against their own fellow Americans.
