It’s pretty obvious now that when he said Tulsi didn’t know what she was talking about, it’s because Netanyahu was feeding him cooked intel suggesting Iran was developing a bomb. Stupid motherfucker took Netanyahu’s word over his own intelligence apparatus. We’re so fucked.

Lon Chaney’s Phantom of the Opera was released in 1925. 60 years from black and white silent to the first summer blockbuster.
CRAZY.

And based on these numbers and last summer’s election polling, we’re to believe that Trump won every single swing state and a popular vote majority?

Somebody pointed out that there are specific ceremonial troops that are trained for parade marches, but Trump/Hegseth chose to use duty soldiers instead (which precludes them from doing their normal duties). So likely not malicious compliance from the troops but administrative incompetence.

It’s not shame; it’s cowardice.

But see, it’s not. It only seems that way because congressional Republicans have abdicated their oaths to the Constitution in favor of absolute obeisance to Trump.

Kristen Welker is a national embarrassment. I still can’t fathom how NBC didn’t give MtP to Nicole Wallace. She would have crushed it.

Trump lost something like 60 court cases attempting to litigate the 2020 election. He’ll lose every one of these college/law firm shakedowns, too. The institutions just need to have a modicum of bravery and fight.

Kristin Walker is a national embarrassment. One of the most unserious “journalists” in America today, and that’s saying something.

It’s not one man. The entire Republican Party is complicit through their inaction. Mike Johnson and John Thune could end this tomorrow. This is on them, too.

We’d need the House to elect a new non-MAGA Speaker into the line of succession and impeach and remove Vance at the same time as Trump. Otherwise even if Trump is convicted and removed, it’s clowns all the way down.

John — I’ve followed you for at least 20 years. I was there when you lost Tunch and when Lily passed (RIP to absolute legends). In all that time, I’m not sure I ever actually heard your voice until now. It’s just as dry and ornery as I hoped. Great podcast, you should keep doing them. Please.

Security against whom? Because these fascist morons are cozying up to the only adversary we have that would ostensibly be harmed by acquiring Greenland.

It’s amazing that no one has confronted Elon with the fact that declining birth rates share a direct correlation with lowering the top marginal tax rate for billionaires.

Why do you keep voting to confirm Trump’s nominees knowing they’re incompetent clowns who were chosen for their loyalty to Trump, not the Constitution?

You suck at your job. The Democratic Party won’t receive a single cent from me until you’re replaced. Weakest “Leader” of all time.

Schumer is a blight on the body politic and has been dragging down the Democratic Party since Harry Reid made the grave mistake of handing him the reins in 2017. A complete fool who has truly risen to the level of his own incompetence.

Glad to see you’re politicizing this, but if you’re gonna do it, don’t you think you oughta go a little harder? I don’t know, something like, “Trump is tanking your 401ks and IRAs! He needs to resign!” Or, you know, you could do it your way or whatever.

Displaying party unity is essential against fascism. It demonstrates strength and conviction, which operates both against Trump/MAGA and for the Dem base as it conveys they understand the gravity of the situation we’re in.
Weak parties never win. And this is a war we can’t afford to lose.

This is 100% on Jeffries. He officially has the power and authority to hold the caucus together, yet he’s too weak and cowardly to use it.

Dude, 4 out of 5 of them deliberately ignored the clear text of the Constitution regarding Article I powers in their dissent. That is the precise opposite a good start. And it portends a true crisis when the next argument about Presidential powers arrives before the Court.
comment in response to

It’s time for lawyers arguing before the Court to start being bolder with overt statements about past decisions wherein SCOTUS has ignored the clear text of the Constitution. Throw it in their faces and make them defend it. Will likely garner contempt charges, but it’s time to get it on the record.
comment in response to

It’s appalling and infuriating that 4 members of the highest court in the land are denying the clear text of the Constitution when it comes to Article I. It would be impeachable if we had a functioning Congress that recognized the threat to their powers.

Hypothetically, if that occurs and at some point (🤞🏼) Democrats retake control, could they not just eminent domain everything back to the government?

It’s maddening that Schumer and Jeffries failed to coordinate a mass walkout and/or non-attendance. Absolutely maddening.
