some alternate wording because it's like 2am and i'm unsure if my attempts rn are understandable; do christians want outsiders who don't like their religion to point it out when its members are noticed doing something unexpectedly good? is it considered positive attention or a backhanded compliment?

you can shorten that timeline even further by removing the exception from the slavery "ban" that allows it as punishment for crime. the system is built around profiting off tricking or forcing ordinary people into illegal mistakes or desperate acts outside of their character to fill prison beds.
comment in response to post
i thought it was clear from noting that you're probably not trying to be awful that i am not assuming anything about your character. however, humans are humans and not everyone has all the context of a situation at the same time. what matters is what one does with the context when presented to them.

a lot of students and their families+friends in seattle also didn't the choice to make the protest due the 14th being one of the major college's graduation ceremony. they didn't get out until after the protest had ended. unsure how many other colleges may have had the 14th scheduled for that.

the 5m count is from dismissing LGBTQ+ protesters and allied protesters who flew their colors in support. you're probably not trying to be awful, so please, just take a moment to consider if any other demographic being disqualified for representing themselves during the protests would fly so easily.
comment in response to post
it is helpful to count them because the point of protest is numbers. numbers showed up. the count was published... and then they cut it by more than half, just to raise a giant middle finger to the LGBTQ+ community who stood by everyone else in support. a queer protester is still a protester.
comment in response to post
pride day is june 28th, the anniversary of Stonewall. it is extremely fucked up for any demographic to be barred from counting as protestors based on whether or not they visibly represent themselves when physically inside of a protest, something which LGBTQ+ are on photo and film as during No Kings.
comment in response to post
the 5.3m estimate is from cutting the LGBTQ+ community and their allies out of the count. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/no-kings-d... you can literally read them admitting to ignoring 1m people in boston claiming separation of pride events... FYI pride day+its parades are not on the 14th.

little confused at some of the comments under this. any black folks around in the mood to give some context on what the mystic monolith thing that keeps popping up is about?
comment in response to post
this has the best vibe to it
comment in response to post
if this estimate seems a bit fishy... it's because they're cutting out chunks of the protest where people flew pride flags. the flag of one of the marginalized groups protesting trump, and of allies protesting in their defense from him. during the month when those flags are fucking everywhere.
comment in response to post
even LGBTQ+ people hate the LGBTQ+ people who try to chase allies away. they're like if an annoying cousin ran up to slap someone's hand away while they were offering you help after you literally asked for help because cuz thinks the helper smells funny. thank you for being here, please ignore them.

i mostly agree, but as someone from a matriarchal family where everyone got messed up because *which one* of the women was head of the family for so long, i really think we should be pickier than that. women can also be incompetent sadistic narcissists, infallible impressions are highly abuseable.

aren't those one of the closest modern creatures to sabertooths

if kamala were potus we could protest wrongs without so many people who were previously in far less immediate danger being violently sacrificed to the machine. when you have a party of cowards, put that cowardice to use. but the order of white knights thinks strategy is for fascists, so here we are.

how did you get such a teeny pumpkin??

these are one of the reasons you should carry some cash around still even though most places only take card or app payments lately there are some really great smelling temporary food stops that can appear in random spots throughout cities and not all of them have card readers unfortunately

anyone else have the vibe that maybe pedestaling military service as a magical escape from cultivated societal poverty - so that a colossal chunk of the working class ends up as soldiers - and then attacking the sort of normal people that are the majority's kin might end up biting the regime's ass?
comment in response to post
pretty sure the thing about them whining that sites where leftists are allowed to speak are 'echo chambers' (but not left-censoring ones) is that they hate that the people they want to abuse are allowed to walk away from them and want to convince everyone it's illegal to resist being a punching bag.

isn't it a war crime actually for them to assault international reporters i know they don't give a flying fuck about doing such shit to their own citizens and our govt sure as hell isn't gonna tell them to stop, but could they get in trouble with say australia for shooting that aussie reporter

LA is 1,382 miles away from the state cruz has office in both geographically and on the political spectrum red politicians despise that blue states have agency apart from them and actively wish harm on their people, so when they suddenly pretend to care there is 500% a scheme building up.

are emergency responders from other countries who have passports allowed to just volunteer to fly on over with their aircraft to help? or do they need to be offically sent by the govt of the country they're coming from?
comment in response to post
so if your kid talks about LGBT+ before they turn 18 you'll disown them? if that sounds ridiculous to you, then maybe consider that the topic of this post is telling people to not abuse their kids for coming out. the topics of the posts you reply to are important to interpreting what you are saying.

i wonder how many people are looking at those feet drawings thinking "oh they must be included to show how weird the alien rat's feet are" and not that they were probably just there for fun because that is actually what the bottoms of rats' feet look like

a combination of rising psychotic bigotry, accelerationism, and well-meaning people who bought the accelerationists' stagnant promises of revolution, in doing so flushing the chance to rally mass protests without losing what rights we had and under a govt that might actually be cowed by public rage.

"no one is coming to save you" someone might, but far more would if everyone wasn't arbitrarily forced to struggle and spread themselves so thin. or if situations one needs saving from weren't needlessly common. "life isn't fair" because of people with that fucking attitude perpetuating this shit.
comment in response to post
they could help others, or they could just gtfo the way so that the many who would save others given the chance can and build up the resources to distribute to those in need. they could stop preventing safety nets. but no, they make things suck for everyone, then use it sucking as justification.
comment in response to post
i hate this phrase and the phrase "life isn't fair" for the same reason. they're both used as excuses by the kind of people who ensure that life isn't fair, with their sabotage and/or apathy towards societal progress, clogging the way for people trying to build a better world where helping is easy.

might be a butterfly effect from a dumbass exception they made back when "abolishing" slavery, that it can be used as a punishment if slavery is ok for prisoners, then imprisonment is profitable. most crime is caused by desperation, so for consistent slave production keep everyone fucking miserable.

and then there's this; "Your payment has not yet been processed. If this campaign is successful, your payment will be processed." they broke the order into pieces so that the portion with a donation attached - not the rest of it - would have conditional processing. please stop impressing me.

maybe see what she thinks of scrambled egg? we had a kitten once who didn't really want food when we first got her, but that woke up her apetite she was already weaned though so not sure if that would still work

if people would just fix their pets and quit dumping them that would be just fantastic. it preserves their health and longevity. it reduces the collective suffering of domestic animals. there are numerous orgs that do it CHEAP if half an ass of effort is put into looking them up. there is no excuse.

i wonder what sorts of thoughts homophobes who bend over begging for and bragging about extra fucking from their work would have about their behavior giving openly gay bottoms the strong impression that they're closeted gay bottoms with a degradation kink they can't afford to the relief of a dom for

offloading studies onto AI to avoid bothering to actually learn the material is not a fucking "learning style" ffs, that is the exact opposite this is effectively just dropping out while continuing to show up and ensures that whatever they wanted to be when they grew up, they will never achieve it.

can't wait til they find out that american whiteness is a vitriolic pecking order that shifts by the whims of rich cults, and they will not start high. oh yes, treated MUCH better than poc - but "better" only means "well" for tools of the rich. they're gonna miss being rare and powerful real fast.

because they want to keep all the money that gets taxed for medicaid for themselves and they're sadists who fucken hate the disabled to boot so will only be happier if a bunch of people die from it / or become homeless where they can easily be charged with crimes just for being caught existing

he doesn't seem to grasp that it's not actually possible to make money by having fewer employees if there is no money coming in to begin with due to no one wanting to do business with the US. cutting costs preserves already existing income, *it does not generate it from scratch*. no trade, no money.
